This Laser Printers give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Even a poor paper weight
I have had this printer for over five months. Actually it is the second one I have had as they replaced the first. The printer is a terrible copier. It can not handle any different type of paper without telling you there is a jam, when no jam exist. It now copies with a black strip down the middle. When you use the envelope function it complete throws a wrench into the copying function so only the middle of the copy comes out. It can not handle very many copies before it just stops. All in all, a terrible printer.

2. Don't Buy It
I've only had it a day, but I can tell it's not going to be my best purchase. I got this printer because it is supported for home use by my company.

The "Scan to Email" feature is completely bogus. The printer doesn't support SSL connections for SMTP. This means that my gmail account, my yahoo account, my personal hosted website account and my huge company email account can't be used. What email accounts don't require SSL these days, I asked the Dell support rep after waiting on hold and then spending 11 minutes on the phone repeating and repeating my phone number and Product Tag number before he even started to work with me. He said "not free" accounts. I pointed out that my hosted website was not free. I pointed out that my employer's email was not freemail. No matter. He just kept reading the script.

In addition to the scanning misrepresentation, the printer is slow, the documentation is incredibly bad, the menus are not touch (so you spend time scrolling) and...

So far so good
Bought this multifunction laser printer a few weeks ago. Granted I haven't had to print much in that time, it does seem to work and do what I need of it. The setup for this thing is extremely easy and basically dummy-proof. I will say that the graphics and colors are pretty darn good. I printed a full 8 1/2 X 11 picture of my wife and I and it looked great! I also copied a new dollar bill I had in my wallet just to test the scanning and printing abilities (dollars are so extremely intricate). It turned out looking like the real thing, it was crazy. It went straight to the shredder of course!
