Xerox Phaser 6100/DN Network Color Laser Printer with Duplexer

Buy Xerox Phaser 6100/DN Network Color Laser Printer with Duplexer

Phaser 6100DN Network-Ready Color Laser Printer
  • 1,200 optimized dpi, true 600 x 600 dpi resolution
  • Up to 5 ppm color, 21 ppm black
  • 120 MHz processor, 64 MB RAM
  • Convenient paper-saving 2-sided printing
  • USB 2.0, parallel, and Ethernet interfaces; PC and Mac compatible

This Laser Printers give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Everything I expected!
I have had Tektronics (now Xerox) printers before and got this for my home office based on the good experiences I had with their higher-end models. I couldn't believe the price, so I was skeptical about it. So far so good. Great print quality, reasonably quiet during start-up and printing and speedy enough for my needs. Very simple network configuration and setup.

I have no way to confirm this, but it appears to be identical to the Samsung color laser at about the same price. Feature set is identical and so is physical appearance except for branding. Comes with full toners (not starters), which is different than the Samsung. Lots of replacement parts as printing levels get high, but this is pretty standard on color lasers.

Would buy it again without hesitation.

2. An excellent inexpensive network printer
I got one of these when they were heavily discounted a couple of years ago - I was originally just looking for a basic mono network printer, and was astonished when I saw a duplexing colour laser for about the same price. I've since picked up the 500-sheet second tray unit, again very cheaply.

I've had no real problems with it once I'd figured out the installation. I'm using it on a mixed PC and Mac home network - PC installation is entirely straightforward, but Mac users should check Xerox's web site for installation instructions for OS-X 10.3 and above, the manual instructions are only correct up to 10.2

So far I've needed one change of toners, when the low capacity starter toners ran out, which was expensive (but no more so than any other colour laser) and has given me 18 months of service. While it is a little on the noisy side, and slow to start up, it makes up for that by being built like a tank and extremely reliable - I'd be surprised if I've had more...

Not even for free!
We have one of these at work. Well...two actually. I refuse to put the second one into service.

We were offered one of these for free if we purchased a WorkCenter 35 Pro (another hunk of junk but don't get me started). Even for free, the Phaser 6100 is awful.

It's terribly slow, the memory is not upgradeable, the footprint is far too big (that's because you need to be able to access it from three sides, which, WTF?), it has three separate consumables not counting the four toner cartridges and the quality is about as good as one of those $99 inkjet units from WalMart.

After we got the first one, I swore never again but the boss had already purchased another WorkCenter 35. We've used the second Phaser just once. That was to print out the config page because Xerox would not give us our rebate (that's how they do a "free" printer) without one. We had to unpack it, put the whole thing together, print out the page, tear it back down and pack it back up...

Konica Minolta magicolor 3100 Color Laser Printer

Bargain Konica Minolta magicolor 3100 Color Laser Printer

  • Up to 1,200 x 1,200 dpi resolution
  • Up to 16 ppm in color and black, first page out in 17 seconds
  • 256 MB RAM, upgradeable to 512 MB
  • USB and CrownNet for Ethernet 10BaseT/100BaseTX interfaces
  • Automatic 2-sided printing; 1-year onsite warranty

This Laser Printers give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Does the job
I can't say what occurred with the previous reviewer. My guess
is he was referring to the 2200 (a much slower color printer)
or was driving the 3100 via a parallel cable.

I got the printer today and have printed just about everything
in sight, including 8.5x11 inch pictures (1536x2048x16 million
color digital camera images) in regular and fine quality mode.
Certainly it takes the printer longer to print these images,
but thats 15 seconds verses instantaineous. Note that I use
a 100bps ethernet to drive it.

The image quality looks great to me. I picked this printer
because if you add duplexing and a 500 sheet tray to their
lower end printer(the 2200), both options I need, you get
approximately the same total price as well as a printer that
is MUCH slower in color, has a fraction of the CPU speed and
does not do Postscript 3.

The 3100 DN is a win, and gives both a better price and smaller
size than the equivalent HP...

2. All the features at a low price
I bought this for home office use, and am more than impressed with the output quality. Photographs look as good as the originals, and the autmatic duplexing is terrific.

so slow as to be unusable
After 3 weeks with helpful Minolta tech support staff I have discovered that it is normal and OK for this printer to take 12 minutes to print one 8' x 8' regular photograph at 300 dpi at the printer's lowest resolution. That is way too long to be practical in a business environment. I regret the purchase.

MC4750EN Color Laser

Deals for MC4750EN Color Laser

The next big thing in color printing? It's right here. The magicolor 4750EN is a small wonder, measuring in at just 16.5" x 13" (W x H). But don't let the small size fool you, this color printer is positively packed with advanced features. Driven by the Emperon Print System with an 800 MHz processor and 256 MB RAM, it prints at 31 ppm in color and B&W and can deliver a first page in 12.9 seconds. Also uses Simitri & HD toner with Biomass, a renewable organic resource that has less environmental ...
  • Prints 31 ppm color and B&W delivering the first page in just 12.9 seconds
  • Equipped with the powerful Emperon Print System with 800 MHz CPU and 256 MB DDR2 RAM
  • Konica Minolta magicolor printers print in brilliant high-definition color with 4800 dpi-class x 600 DPI resolution

This Laser Printers give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Meh...
I LOVED my Magicolor 2300DL and this just doesn't live up to what I had before. I've had to call customer service multiple times (it wouldn't print a 1/4" strip right out of the box and then broke again later). You'll sit on hold forever but they're nice when they answer -- still I wouldn't recommend it.

2. Good value for the price, but ink will get you...
This printer is a great addition to our office. It prints fast, works off our server no problems. Make note however that only the DN model comes with a duplexer-- EN cannot duplex print jobs. I wish it could take more paper as it only holds about 250 sheets at a time, but it prints quickly and reliably. Few jams, even when set to default duplex. The ink is costly though. To replace all four cartridges costs the same as the price I bought it for--$350.00. It also is not the easiest to troubleshoot for the average person-- tricky paper set up makes even replacing the paper a little different than normal. Overall though, awesome product for the features (color printing, laser/duplexing)/price.

1. Printer great, extra tray not
I purchased the upscale model of the Color Laserjet 2605, the 2605 dtn. The printer is listed as somewhat slow on review sites, but it's just fine for my needs. However, the add-on bottom tray that came with the printer was defective, and never worked (couldn't open the drawer). HP was very responsive with over the phone support, and sent another. That one was defective, too. After a couple hours on the phone, I finally got a third tray that worked. Hmm.

This Laser Printers give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Great printer!
I got this printer a few months ago for my office and so far I really like it. The duplex option is terrific. Double-sided printing not only is greener, it helps to keep the files from getting too fat.

The print quality is great, though the colors do print a bit darker than I'd expect based on their appearance on screen. I haven't had any paper jams or other problems with it.

Getting the full size printer cartridges with it is a good deal. So far, I've only had to change the black one so it does monitor them separately (I've heard of other HP color printers that force you to change the color printer cartridges when the black runs out).

BTW, I don't know what the guy with the envelope problems is talking about. I print envelopes frequently and it has never sealed one. Based on my experience, I would guess his problems have more to do with the humidity around his store of envelopes than with the printer.

2. Works Well
It is great having a color LaserJet printer. I am using it on my Mac. The only thing I wish this printer had was a built in wireless capability. I have it plugged into my Time Capsule and not into my computer but it would be better if it were wireless like my Photosmart printers by HP. Installation went without a hitch and I am very happy with my new color printer.

hp 3505 dn color laser printer
HP CP3505DN Color Laserjet PrinterI purchased the hp 3505 dn primarily for its color duplex capabilities and it does a superb job. The printer arrived with all toner cartridges installed and all I had to do was remove the packing materials, load rhe software, connect it to my network and print. I have never had a paper jam have used regular copy paper as well as card stock. I don't do double sided with card stock though. I rate hp printers as one of the best brands and currently have 2 hp color lasers and 2 black and white laser printers and have had no problems with any of them. I can reccommend the hp 3505 dn printer to anyone.

  • 200-sheets input std. / 700-sheets input max.; Camera-direct photo printing using PictBridge
  • Factory Reconditioned - 1 year warranty

This Laser Printers give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Great color, bargain price
I have been using this printer for a few weeks and so far I'm thrilled. It's compatible with Mac OS X, Windows (from 95 to XP) and Linux, has built-in network support and a PictBridge connector in front.

The best part is how lightweight it is for a color laser printer. It also has a very small footprint. Inkjets are often deceptive in that respect, because they require a lot of space in front and back for the paper holders; the 2430DL does not need any of that.

Its energy saver mode is extremely economical (1W) and the printer wakes up immediately and can print with almost no warm-up time.

On the negative side, the paper drawer is very shoddy, and the printer is fairly loud when operating (that includes regular clacks and whirrs while in energy saver mode, don't set it up in your bedroom!)

To the reviewer complaining about the toner not fixating on the page: your printer is set to envelope mode. Check the manual (you can download it from...

2. Consider this color laser printer rather than ink jets
This is my second Konica Minolta color laser printer. I bought my first, a 2210 when prices for color laser printers dipped below $1000. It was very easy to set up and use and worked perfectly for many years. This week I replaced it with a new 2430 because the cost of replacing the consuumables which were all running low was more than buying a new printer. The new 2430 is smaller, lighter, quieter, easier to use, feature packed and has twice the resolution of my old printer. I'm using it in a mixed Mac/PC network environment. The included CD contained all the manuals, drivers and software needed for both platforms as well as for Linux. Set up couldn't have been easier. I unboxed it, plugged in the power and network cable, installed the drivers on my computers and began printing. The whole process took about 10 minutes. The images look great and it can handle a wide range of media. A web browser based interface makes administrating the printer a snap. In a home environment...

Works Great--Until It Doesn't
This printer was impressive once I got it up and running (took some time and head-scratching) with my Windows XP operating system. I purchased the printer around June of 2005 and have worked it hard for my business, printing everything from daily invoices and shipping labels to thick card stock and transparencies. Card stock is only reliable about 70% of the time, and you have to hand-feed it to avoid jamming.

This seemed like a great bargain for the $300 price, but the consumables are very expensive (as you'll find with nearly any printer now, inkjet or laser). I've used about 5-6 cartridges of each of the four colors (black, cyan, yellow, magenta) and gone through one drum replacement. The problems I have had have been mainly fussy software issues--sometimes after working for several print jobs, the printer suddenly stops transferring toner to the media for some inexplicable reason and without any errors or definable cause. We've gotten used to just turning the...

This Laser Printers give to us some advantages, like this :
1. A great duplex color laser printer
I bought this printer to assist with a small home business. My research into this printer indicated that its graphics were "above average" and better than traditional color laser printers. After using it for about a month, I would agree with this view. My only small issue with this printer is the blinking red light that is a constant irritating reminder that I have yet to plug the analog phone line into the printer (which prevents any Fax capability). While this blinking red light will stop once I get my additional phone line installed and plugged into the printer, I feel Lexmark could have designed a less "irritating" display...maybe an error icon shown on the Fax display screen? If desired, Lexmark can also remotely disable the Fax function IOT stop the red blinking light, but that would diminish the printer's capabilities, in my opinion. Other than this minor irritant, I would highly recommend this printer...just remember to have a phone line ready for it to plug...

C6100N Color Led Printer 230V Version

Cheap C6100N Color Led Printer 230V Version

This Laser Printers give to us some advantages, like this :
1. get out your wallet
Oki c6100 will stop working when factory imposed limits have been reached on drums, belts and fuser. These limits are based on a counter not on the actual ability of the part to continue to function. These limits have been set low in order to force you to constantly buy new parts. The printer WILL NOT PRINT when the counter clicks past the pre-determined number even if the part is still functioning fine. Your only recourse is to shell out hundreds of dollars at a time to replace drums and belts and fusers. Do not buy this product. I was never impressed with the color produced by this printer even with all the new parts being constantly put into it. We have three of these money pits in our office and none of them will print at all due to the need to replace over $1,000 worth of parts. We had to dig the old HP 2100 out of the closet which has worked fine for 7+ years with no major cost to keep in service.

2. Best printer I have ever used.
This printer is fast and it has the best color. vary easy to set up. also vary good for a businesses that has a vary high print quantity or good for a home that need a high quality printer thats the best you can buy.

Be careful ordering supplies though. Xerox's supplies page lists the Phaser 6350 and 6300 supplies on the same page, but the supplies are not interchangeable, and if you don't notice it right away, Xerox won't even take them back.

In summary, great printer, Xerox's supplies people are jerks with their exchange policy.

This is a great printer, but the lack of a papertray severly hampers productivity. If you want to buy this printer with the papertray already bundled, buy the 2550N.

2. Smart Chip Screws the consumer
Chips inside the toner cartridges force you to throw away consumables before their time.

It's frustrating to send a toner cartridge you can feel still has 1/3 to 1/2 its toner back to HP, but that's what they expect you to do. It's also expensive. Our per page cost sky rocketed to 6.5 cents, NOT counting the paper...

  • Built-in 10/100 Base-T internal Ethernet print server
  • 32 MB memory standard, expandable to 288 MB
  • Flexible paper handling, optional duplexing

This Laser Printers give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Good Printer
Where I work (up to 30 users for these purchases), I was responsible for bringing two C5100N's into the workplace. At the time I purchased them, September 2003, there was little information on them. The goals I had were merely to bring color to the workgroup at a slightly-more- affordable-than-inkjet and definitely more affordable than outsourcing color.

My experience: I agree that the photos aren't the best. They look GREAT (or, much better) on cardstock, and the finished-look of laser gives a more professional look than inkjet, to some extent. The price was right for us, and the results were acceptable for an organization that is used to using a mimeograph for volume color, one color at a time.

Since our emphasis isn't on speed of first output (nobody is really near the printer), the time to first print is not really applicable. Duplex cardstock is an iffy proposition. IF the settings are correct, it should work, and does work.

Consumables are used pretty fast, to be sure...

2. Don't let low buying price fool you
As of today I have almost 3,000 pages printed and replaced my third set of toners. At $140. per color this has brought the price much higher than any expensive machine I "could" have gotten.

I called Oki today to see if I can return the printer & since it is just two weeks beyond the thirty day period from dealer I bought it from.....I cannot return it.

Best value for the money
I am very impressed with this printer. Print quality is outstanding. Print speed is very fast. Comparing the print speed in color to our HP at my work, the C5100n is about 3 times faster. Printer footprint is pretty small so it fits on most home computer desks. I bought mine from Amazon for $640.00 including the $30.00 off for getting the Amazon Visa. A color laser/led printer with all of these features, print quality, and speed for this low price is incredible. Very happy.

This Laser Printers give to us some advantages, like this :
1. bought it for my wife's home business and it is probably more than we require but I like the quality
We have only had this about a month but we are satisfied. The ink cartridges and paper tray are easily accessible. I really like having a paper tray so that dust does not settle on the paper between uses. The copier has a professional feel. Haven't really used the scanner (it was okay when I tested it) or fax yet so can't really say much about them. It was heavy, but once in place it was easy to setup and provides my wife with all the features she needs for her home business.

The HP Color LaserJet 2600n printer delivers exceptional-quality documents and marketing materials, in-house. You can design, create, and share impressive black and white and color documents without adding to your budget. With an embedded print server, it is ideal for small workteams and home offices.

This Laser Printers give to us some advantages, like this :
1. A nice little workhorse. Rugged and well-designed
I bought the HP2600N with a little trepidation. The price was so low that I was afraid that there was a "catch"--that either it jammed a lot, was too slow, or had some other fault. It was not the case.

This has been a very rugged little workhorse for my light to medium duty needs. It is adequately fast at 8PPM for the needs of my home law office. I use the 2600N mainly in conjunction with wordprocessing and the reproduction of scanned documents in TIFF format. The 2600N has been a solid performer in this regards. The 16MB of on-board RAM, while not a lot, seems to be more than adequate for relatively fast printing of scanned documents and photos. HP seems to have kept the price down on this little beast by carefully engineering just how much of a feature is needed to make the overall device perform smartly. I am very pleased with the 2600N.

Incidentally, this unit is network-ready. Hard to believe for the price.

Overall, this is a solid...

2. Ink RipOff
If you don't print primarily COLOR documents, DO NOT BUY THIS PRINTER. I purchased the HP Color Laserjet 2600n as an alternative to cheap inkjet printers which use way too much ink. I knew the cartridges were expensive ($85.00 per) but with the yield of each cartridge I thought it was worth it. I also made the assumption that because I used the printer primarily for black ink documents that my color cartridges would last a lot longer than my black cartridge...WRONG. I called HP Technical support for a minor issue. I spoke with Tania. Tania told me that this is primarily a color printer, therefore, when you print a document which only uses black ink, the printer assumes you're also using the color cartridges, so it is using up the color cartridges at the same rate. There's only one catch, when the printer tells you that you have to replace the color cartridges, most likely there is still a LOT of toner left in the cartridge. When I became incredulous, she laughed at me...

Nice , But
well i guess this review if based on the printer and the ink . they are great as far as color is concerned .but they run out pretty fast and they are very expensive. we use them for business. we print mostly black and white and rarely use color. but the color somehow runs out as if it mixes in with the black . we were not able to use the printer after the magenta ran out , when we put the magenta in it informed us that all the other colors ( not the black, since we replaced it a week before ) were out and we could not use the printer till we replaced them all .. somehow i think its a scam with hp , but im not an expert on manufacturing ..

Xerox PHASER 7500N;110V,12X18 COLOR

Buy Xerox PHASER 7500N;110V,12X18 COLOR

  • Xerox Phaser 7500dt;110v,12x18 Color Printer

This Laser Printers give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Not Well Supported with Snow Leopard OS x
7400 was fine. But Xerox have screwed up the drivers with this one for Mac users. Spent two hours on phone with Xerox and recieved "beta" drivers not available on the website. Just moved offices and now we are back to square one--very badly designed install/uninstall. Symptoms: crashes when going to print, stuck in dialogue box, sends to printer and processes job forever.

2. Great color printer
I have had many printers over the years, and this is by far the best. My Color Laserjet 4500 was dying - the plastic was actually crumbling with age - and I wanted something faster, higher-resolution, and that would do tabloid size. This does it all. It's easy to change toner and waste cartridges. It's easy to set up, and the software works fine with Win 7 and Win 8. Xerox wants and arm and a leg for RAM upgrades, and I found a RAM upgrade was needed so I could print 8-page handouts with lots of color pictures, and get them to collate properly. I found compatible RAM here on Amazon that was ~10% of what Xerox wanted and it worked fine. I have been using genuine Xerox cartridges but with their recent price hike ($2000 for a full set of high-capacity cartridges!) I may change to generic ones. That said, the high-capacity cartridges print a lot before they run out. I'd chosen Xerox after careful review, as HP's quality has gone down over the past decade or so, and I'm quite happy with my...

It's an affordable printer that delivers high quality 1200x600 dpi printouts - letting you impress clients with vibrant graphics and sharp text. At just 14" wide, it's a space-saving solution that can conveniently fit onto a desktop. 200 sheet output tray Duty Cycle - up to 3...

  • 2,400 x 660 dpi maximum print resolution
  • 200 MHz PowerPC 405 processor, 32 MB SDRAM
  • USB and parallel connectivity
  • 1-year warranty, PC compatible

This Laser Printers give to us some advantages, like this :
1. So far so good
Seems to be a great printer, drivers work well, no XP trouble. Prints slow (One page per 50-60 seconds) with long pauses between pages, till the entire print job is spooled, then easily meets the specs of 4 pages per minute. TIP: Since I routinely print 200-300 pages per job, I set the driver to NOT print first copy till the entire job spools; The job spools much more rapidly and then the printer prints continuously. Now I am much more than pleased.
Had it for about 45 days and have done about 2000-3000 bochures so far. Print quality is excellent to my eye.

Spec alert! You cannot upgrade the memory of this printer, in spite of what the specs say on Amazon! 32megs is built in, and that is what you have to live with.

2. Beautiful Color in Efficient Printing
After multiple trips to Kinko's paying a fortune for color printing, I decided the new generation of personal color lasers made it time to buy.

With an important print job coming up, my research period was short. After leaning towards the HP personal color laser (based simply on HP reputation), I discovered this beauty. My decision was certainly swayed by its much higher print resolution -- after all, anyone willing to pay the price of a personal color laser is someone who's interested in print quality. However, I was also impressed by advertised print speed and cost.

Well, I was not disappointed on any front. The color graphics are incredible. While this is not a 'photo quality' printer (and, in fact, cannot even use special glossy papers), it produces superior printed material that's well suited for any professional business presentation. Even photos print with what I would call very high quality.

As mentioned in previous reviews, start time can be slow if it starts from...

Great deal - and you can upgrade the memory!
Unlike what somebody said previously in these reviews, you can upgrade the memory for this printer. I purchased a 256MB DIMM and upgraded the stock/onboard 32MB to 288MB. As I print over the network to this printer from multiple PC's, the extra memory should help spooling big documents.

Overall, I love the price for the features. My only gripe is that I do tend to see long pauses between jobs, and warm-up time to start a job after power-saving mode is often a full minute or so.

So, if you're not in a hurry, this is a great printer!

For the price, I can deal with the wait. :)

HP Color LaserJet 4550 Printer

Cheap HP Color LaserJet 4550 Printer

HP C7086A 4550N COLOR LASER PRINTERThe Hewlett-Packard 4550 LaserJet printer is ideal for a small work group or office looking for a color printer. This printer makes color laser printing simple and fast, producing 4 ppm in color and 16 ppm in black. This is true even when printing complex color print jobs. The 4550 has automatic color calibration, which offers surprising color print quality for the life of the printer. With Hewlett-Packard's Image Resolution Enhancement technology, a 600 dpi en...

  • 16 ppm black, 4 ppm color printing speed
  • 233 MHz processor, 64 MB memory, expandable to 192 MB
  • Parallel and wireless infrared interfaces; network option

This Laser Printers give to us some advantages, like this :
1. HP 4550 Color Laserjet is Best Printer out!!
I printed a lot of photos with my old 895cse printer, and they looked great, but the ink could smear and it took forever. I recently bought this printer, and it is fantastic, clean and crisp prints... and full color in the same time it takes to print a text page, about 20 seconds. And you don't have to replace the cartridge every other week, so far it's been 3 months and I haven't changed the toner yet. I say if you can afford this now, it will pay off in the long run.

2. Craftspeople Need the Best Tools
The HP-4550 Color LaserJet Printer is a great tool.

We live in a color world. Our television, magazines and newspapers are in full color. It only makes sense to be able to reproduce what we see on our computer screen in color. Black/White output is only a poor representation, not an accurate reproduction.

Since many people are considering trading up from a LaserJet 4 as I did, I will compare the two.

The 4550 is heavier. You will need two people carry it and to move it from its shipping carton to a table.

The 4550 is larger. Check the measurements. Make sure you have room for it.

The 4550 is noisier but the fan shuts off after a few minutes of nonuse and it goes into a sleep mode after 30 minutes (adjustable).

The 4550 is slower. It is first-page-out rated at 26 seconds in b/w while the HP-4050 is rated at 13 seconds.

The printer cable is rather short. You may need an extension.

If you have a small office and require more speed, you may be better off with an...

A Color Laserjet that is Commercially Viable to Inkjet
I broke down and purchased an HP Color Laserjet 4550 in March (my yearly bonus paid out!). While it required my teenage son and myself to lug it into the house (it is rather lofty in size), setup was simple and the quality and durability of prints cannot even be compared to an inkjet printer.

Prior to purchasing the 4550, I owned three color inkjet products and have never been satisfied with the final prints. Even if you could get the prints to look good right out of the printer, their durability (ink smears, color degradation, etc.) certainly suffered.

How to justify a rather sizeable purchase? Save your money and don't buy the poor reliability from color ink jet printers not to even mention the cost of the cartridges (but note you will have to anticipate the costly replacement of the four toner cartridges used in the 4550 laserjet eventually). Also, purchase a nice card maker software package (I use Hallmark Card Studio 2) and some good laserjet photo paper, and you can...

1. Ricoh Excellence.
There are four models in the CL4000DN Series and they are: G104, G160, G161 & G158.

I picked up the G104 at a local thrift store for $30--had less than 2k prints on it!. Made great copies except for the fact that the fuser offsetting toner onto the back side of the print (the blank backside if not duplexing). Ricoh had a TSB (Technical Service Bulletin) on the fact that the cleaning roller section in the fuser had to be replaced with an updated retrofitted design. The cleaning roller (and sometimes a fibrous web material on a roll in MFP Copiers) is impregnated with a silicon oil to keep the toner from adhering to the hot roller or belt and the pressure roller. All in all if I can finish it off for a $100, I will have been doing well, since it came with practically full toner bottles in the machine! I upgraded the 128 MB of RAM to 512 MB--I didn't even have to use the Ricoh branded RAM. It called for PC2100 Laptop memory but I opted to try PC2700--two sticks of 256 MB each...

This Laser Printers give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Aficio SP C222DN
I own a couple of OKIdata printers and in my opinion, they are the best. However, they require both toners and drums which can destroy a budget. I use the printers for both home and for Church projects.

The SP C222DN is a very good printer. The start-up time and print output are very similar to the OKI. However, in my opinion, the print quality is a step below the OKI. Don't get me wrong, the color is not bad but the OKI color is remarkable. The selling point for me in terms of the SP C222DN is the cost of the toners. And I believe only one drum is required. Now days, it seems that most printers do an adequately job but the ink and maintenance are the key.

In summary, I am pleased with my purchase but will be shopping in the future for something requiring less maintenance & upkeep.

1. Good, reliable printer
We installed fourteen of these under our purview (college dorms) 10 months ago and our residents printed ~800,000 copies since.

Pros:

* They simply do not jam. I've run a printing operation serving 2500 residents for eight years and have never had a workgroup laserprinter be so reliable.

* They work well in an 'open' printing environment. We us PostScript and accept about 25% of our jobs from Macs, 70% from PCs - mostly XPSP2, and 5% Linux. There are no noticeable OS issues. We've seen that certain versions of Acrobat on Windows or Mac may fail to print, particularly with large file sizes (>300MB ps) or with full-page mathematical notations, but Adobe upgrades fix that on Windows and Preview fixes that on Mac.

* Changing toner is a no-brainer.

* The print quality is excellent for both text and color images. I'm uncertain why Andre's experience was so poor, but believe it was an anomaly.

Cons:

* It's...

Great workhorse color laserprinter
I bought the Ricoh Aficio CL3500 about 6 months ago. It's been dead reliable, with no paper jams. I'm running the printer mostly from Macintoshes (MacOS X 10.4) and have found the drivers to be fine, with good control (you can put the printer into B&W or Color mode, with 15 printer-specific controllable features, far more than I need).

The only complaint I thought I had was resolved -- when I bought the printer I noted several reviews said the text quality was poor. My first print job showed pretty lousy print clarity, and I was a bit disappointed that this was the case. However, when I turned on Colorsync for the print job (you can use either the supplied Ricoh Colorsync profile in the source machine or turn on color correction "in Printer"; both work) the print quality improved drastically, and is now as good as any B&W LaserJet I've used.

Overall, a fantastic deal for a color printer that beats the pants off of inkjet printing costs.

1. A lot of printer for the money
My deskjet 890c has seen better days, so I was looking for a fast printer with color capabilities and good quality print. For not much more than I paid for my last printer I got the speed, economy and quality of laser printing in my home office.

I have only had it for a few days, and have heard wildly different things about the last version of this printer that I thought I would share my experience with this printer after a few hundred pages.

I took advantage of the included network card and ran it into my siemens wireless router. I did have to call minolta to get it talking to the computer, but they answered after one menu and in one minute I was talking to a real live person. We reinstalled, synched up IP addresses and had it printing in about ten minutes. It prints beatifully, and you can print four full page photos in about the same time as my old inkjet. I think the page speed is accurate on this machine but with my old inkjet, it could take many times longer than the...

2. Great Printer, Great Price
Here are my observations from in-box, through install, to printing:

1. Good packaging, solid handles on the box. The device weighs 60+ LBs and the handles made it easy to manuever into my NOC.

2. Packaging was simple and efficient, printer has about 10 strings of blue tape to stiffen the joins for shipping. As a nice touch, all the tape ends were dog-eared making removal simple an painless. The documentation also clearly describes all the loactions so this process is simple.

3. Plugged it in, and turned it on. It's a little noisy but then my SUN Ultra 30 isn't exactly quiet so it doesn't bother me. I printed the configuration page and then the demo page and was delighted to see crisp, sharp output.

4. The printer comes installed with 32MB of RAM but the manual states that it will accept PC100 and PC133 SDRAM DIMM modules of either 128MB or 256MB. This is a great relief as I have an extra gig and I will put it good use now. The only drawback was that there is only one...

Almost Perfect
Laser printers are potentially superior to inkjets because of the laser's unsmudgeable ink. However, for years the affordable laser printer with good resolution and good colors has been a mirage on the horizon. Finally, it has arrived as the Minolta Magicolor 2300 DL.

Can you tell that I am excited about this printer? I did not consider the companion printer, the 2300W, because of its lower resolution.

This sucker is heavy. It might be wise to get help before lifting it onto its table.

Installation was a bit rough. I'm on Windows ME, but the installation software did not offer a Windows ME option. I chose the closest, Windows 9x. You can also tell it which drive to install from, but why bother, it will just continue from where it started, right? Wrong. The software tried to read from my camera card reader and froze. I rebooted, restarted installation, and told it to install the Windows 9x driver from the CD drive. This worked.

I have downloaded the more recent...

This Laser Printers give to us some advantages, like this :
1. What would I have done without it?
I've had mine for two full years, and I used it on most days. As a teacher, the convenience of sticking a book on the flatbed, pressing 25, and then hitting the green button, and having it print out 25 copies very quickly while I shave is... invaluable. I, for one, have never experienced any problems with the unit. I've replaced the toner twice -- a very simple procedure, and it's some of the cheapest toner around, giving me some of the lowest per page costs of laser printers. (Compare Brother toner to, say, Samsung toner.)

I don't experience paper jams, as I have with every other printer I, or my family members, have owned. The scanner integrates seemlessly with WinXP. Just a few minutes ago, I stuck on a cookbook, clicked "My Computer" in WinXP, then double clicked on the Brother icon, and it started the scanner wizard. I chose "greyscale image," it scanned it in maybe fifteen seconds, and then I clicked on "send to email" and I sent off the...

2. Good inexpensive printer/copier
I work for a sole practitioner attorney. When the HP LaserJet III finally died at the office, we tried running the office on an Epson ink jet printer for several days. As that was completely inadequate, we looked around for an inexpensive laserprinter which would handle a duty cycle of about 3,000 pages per month. We decided on the DCP-1000 because it had a built in copier with sheet feeder, was reasonably fast, and was inexpensive. We have had it for about half a year, and the only thing I really dislike about the unit is the way it spits paper out the front without an adequate recepticle.

The printer is excellent for the size of our projects, which tend to be less than 30 pages, and has stood up to the paper output of our office, which includes four networked workstations. It is also nice to have a copier with a sheet feeder for small jobs so we don't have to run to the copier half way across the building we work in. The one drawback with the copier is that the...

Finally a low cost laser copying solution. I purchased this machine when it first arived a few months ago and have been very pleased. I had it out of the box, setup on the network, and printing in less than ten minutes. The supplied software allows for full functionality on all of my Macs, wirelessly via Airport Express. The paper path is not as susceptible to paper jams as previous models I have owned and every part of the paper path, toner cartridges, drums, etc, are all accessible from the front of the printer, so there is no need to pull it out from the wall to service it. The duplex printing works very well and takes no additional space as the duplexer is all contained internally. The backlit LCD is a huge plus too...very bright and easy to read in all lighting situations...

2. Excellent small business printer.
This printer was a snap to set up. On my Macs, the printer announces itself as available. If chosen, it loads the appropriate drivers and is ready to go. On my PC's, it was a bit harder. Software had to be loaded from the included CD and the IT guys had to work around some of the security settings on our network to get it going. It prints high-speed, two-sided, high resolution documents.

Pleased with full PCL 5 support
When searching for a color laser our main concern and criteria was finding one that had full support for PCL 5. This is increasingly difficult to find. We needed it to have FULL support for PCL5 so that it would be compatible with some older universe/unix programs that we already had and didn't want to have to re-write. We had previously tried a different HP laserjet (1022n) which said it had PCL 5e support, and after testing it we found that it didn't support all of the commands and did not work with our existing software. So we had our fingers crossed when we ordered the CP3505 and we have not been disappointed. This printer worked perfectly and seems to work with all of the PCL 5 commands that we have tried so far. We are pleased with its performance printing from Windows as well, and have had no problems with it on our network print server.

So far so good!

Xerox Phaser 8400/N Solid-Ink Color Printer

Bargain Xerox Phaser 8400/N Solid-Ink Color Printer

8400N XEROX XEROX 8400 NETWORK
  • Solid ink technology, an alternative to laser printing
  • 2,400 FinePoint, 600 x 600 dpi resolution
  • Up to 24 ppm in fast color and black, first page out in 6 seconds
  • 500 MHz PowerPC processor, optional hard disk with 20GB storage
  • 10/100BaseTX Ethernet, bidirectional parallel, USB 2.0 interfaces

This Laser Printers give to us some advantages, like this :
1. A Lot of Bang for the Buck!
I purchased this printer to replace a wide format inket printer that had become out-of-date. Since I am a graphic designer and need to run color proofs, I needed something very high quality (with postscript!) and was very picky when trying to decide which one to buy. I have a limited budget, so this was a major purchase for me and I had to get it right! Had to find the best printer for the money and I certainly got it with the Xerox Phaser 8400!

Before finding this one, I had purchased an HP color laser in the same price range, thinking that a color laser would certainly be the best option for me! Was I ever wrong!! What a disappointment, at least the one I bought! Extremely noisy, slow and constant paper jams. I only had it for one day (well, only part of a day!) and was completely fed up! So I sent it back and hoped I could find something better that wouldn't break the bank!

Then, a friend of mine recommended Xerox. I figured they would be too expensive, but what the heck...

2. Living with an 8400
Everyone else has already covered the basics, and I shall not further beat the horse to glue. Here are the realities to happy 8400 ownership, and ignore them at your own peril :

1. Use the highest quality paper you can get. High quality is defined as at least 24 lb. paper, at least 94 briteness. Yes, the 8400 makes any crappy piece of paper look good, but you have a fantastic COLOR printer, so go the very little extra and get the paper to really make the color shine.

2. Never EVER shut the power off. The dirty little secret of the 8400 is how much ink it will suck down if you try to save on electricity and power it down overnight. Wrong move. It will eat ink like there is no tomorrow if you do. Preferably, set the 8400 for the longest sleep setting there is - 240 minutes. Once you plug it in and configure it, then leave it alone.

3. Most of the time the lower (or even lowest!) quality settings will MORE than suffice, and save you a bundle on ink. Did I...

Would never ever recommend this printer
The cleaning cycle on this machine scrapes off piles of melted ink everytime the machine is rebooted. Xerox advises you to keep the machine on all the time. That helps only if you don't have power outages or other problems that require you to reboot the printer.

Since last year... and I've measured the weight of the waste on a postal scale... I've discarded the equivalent of 8 blocks of ink at about $30 each. Considering I've purchased and loaded 64 blocks of ink since August, that's a considerable loss.

In addition, color is very important to my work as I'm a graphic designer who does short runs for my clients. The color color has become faded over time, especially the blues.

Also, if you print on coated photo paper, the color peels off.

  • High speed USB 2.0 and 10/100 base-TX Ethernet connectivity
  • Prints black text at 17 ppm and color at four ppm
  • Easy toner changes and quiet operation
  • Compatible with many operating systems

This Laser Printers give to us some advantages, like this :
1. CLP-300N review
I've used this printer for about a month. In general, it prints text well, albeit a bit oversaturated. OTOH, the rated speed output for monochrome prints is actually close to accurate.

For color prints, my use has primarily been for color charts, graphs and the like, and for this purpose, it works admirably well (use decent quality laser paper for best results). It is fast, and for both monochrome and color printing, it is very quiet, with rapid startup (no long waiting before the first page is printed).

I would not use this printer for photos, but that's obvious. Inkjet and dye-sub printers do a far better job at printing photos, although the costs of consumables are much higher as well. Comparison with my Konica-Minolta 2450 (which is also network ready shows slight banding and generally less than optimal photo quality. However, for general office use, claimed comsumable cost is considerably lower than for even the most basic inkjets.

The software...

2. Perfect starter color laser printer.
I got this for my small business. Occassionally we need color prints, it's a hassel to go out and print it, and usually the ink jets' ink is always dry when we need to use it. WIth the small amount of prints we do on color, normally it means buy ink, print 1 time, then it's dry. Now that the color laser is more reasonablly priced, we took a chance and got one.

We always use HP printers, but this samsung was really the best deal and sounded like it does exactly what we want. Here's what we though after using it for a while:

The good:
1. easy setup
2. 4 separate color cartridge. no more waste!!
3. The build is very sturdy.
4. Cost is very reasonable.

Minor complaints:
1. heats up a bit slow on start.
2. the black bleeds a bit. making the letters look "fat".
3. Printer is really heavy.

Despite the minor complaints I still give this a 5 star. Gotta understand you get what you pay for. There's...

Great at first but problems later...
This printer worked great as the other reviews stated for the first year. However, my goal was to save money on ink cartridges by using a laser printer and that did not happen. After a year, we began to get a fade mark down the copies. Now its so bad we can't print in black ink anymore. We tried cleaning it per the manual and also called Samsung with no success. We have tried various cleaning ideas since with no avail. Apparently this is a common problem with this model because upon searching for answers I found a community of Samsung users with this same problem. The solution in the end was to replace the main opitical component. It was not under warranty so the cost did not make it worth it and there were no Samsung technicians near where we live. Ended up being a bigger problem than worth. Time to shop again. I think none of this shows in review because it doesn't seem to happen until you are 6 mos. - a year and a half out. I'm just trying to save you the time and...

This Laser Printers give to us some advantages, like this :
1. beautiful and fast...
Are you shocked by the price of this printer? I was, and in fact was sceptical enough to go to the Canon technical website to find out "what's the catch?". I found there was no catch. This printer uses the same X25 toner cartridge, and has the same output specs, as the highly-ranked Canon MF5550 (see the review in PC Magazine, August 2004). I surmised the two printers share the same "engine". So I bought the MF3110, despite the suspiciously low price. And now I'm very happy -- this is the real McCoy! The print quality matches any laser printer you've ever used, and the machine is FAST -- earlier today I queued up a 36 page print job (a PDF of a US Patent) and it was done by the time I had made a cup of tea in the microwave.

The scanner and copier functions work fine. The scanner is 1200x2400 optical, 9600x9600 interpolated (who needs 9600 DPI??!!), with 48-bit color depth.

The negatives? The bundled OmniPage OCR software is a stripped down version. It...

2. 5 star is for perfect - and nothing is !
I read and researched ALL sorts of laser printers (didnt include Canon) and then went into officedepot to buy a Brother. and then saw this pretty looking Canon. i looked and looked again and then again. and did not find a catch either. A very well designed printer that looks good and performs beautifully. It uses the X25 cartridge (combo) unit which is rated for about 2500 pages and costs about 50 dollars, giving a per page cost of 2 cents - pretty good i'd say. Setup was pretty easy - no complicated hoops to jump through. And once the software is setup, you just sit back and enjoy ! Very short warm-up time (about 3-5 seconds i'd say). And although it makes as much noise as any other laser printer i've seen, print speed is pretty fast. The print quality is very good, very sharp and crisp prints - THE reason i wanted a laser printer.

Printer paper output tray is located in the middle of the body making it easy to retrieve printed copies. A nice touch is the fact that the...

Great product that lives up to its specs!
The Canon ImageCLASS MF3110 Laser Multifunction printer proudly stands a-top our desk, looking right at us, smiling, and with its tongue sticking out. Once you purchase one and set it up, you will understand what I mean (Just look right at it). This laser printer is ready for action the moment you set it up. The warmup time is outstanding (3 - 5 seconds max). I do not wait for it; it waits for me. The text is sharp and crisp on this blue and white monster. Compared to its competition of quality, the MF3110 is compact in size. Although you may find some that are smaller, you will not get the same performance in quality. This monster gives you 21PPM, 1200X600 DPI print, 1200x2400 DPI scan, and it lifts up from the hinges making it easier to copy pages from a book all for a reasonable price. To top it all off, this printer actually comes with a USB Cable. There are many other less important features that I enjoy, however I will conclude.

In conclusion, I had no...

Brother HL5450DN High-Speed Laser Printer With Networking and Duplex

Bargain Brother HL5450DN High-Speed Laser Printer With Networking and Duplex

The HL-5450DN is a monochrome laser printer with a built-in Ethernet network interface. Ideal for offices or small workgroups, it features reliable, fast printing at up to 40ppm and automatic duplex (two-sided) printing. Plus, it provides flexible paper handling via its 300-sheet paper capacity, and uses a high-yield 8,000-page replacement toner cartridge* to help lower running costs.
  • Prints up to 40ppm
  • Built-in Ethernet network interface
  • Automatic duplex (two-sided) printing
  • 300-sheet standard paper capacity, expandable
  • High-yield replacement toner cartridge available*

This Laser Printers give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Sweetness!
I purchased a Brother HL-1470N back in 2002. It was an excellent monochrome network laser printer that worked well with my Mac computer. I used it extensively. I went thru 3 toner cartridges and 1 drum over the course of the past decade. A few issues came up that I needed assistance on, and Brother support was always helpful. That old printer recently indicated that the toner was empty, that the drum needed replaced again, then it stopped communicating on my network. I decided it was finally time to replace it. Having 3 iPhones and an iPad in our family, an AirPrint capable printer was a must. I checked Apple's AirPrint support document (Last Modified on July 31, 2012), and was sad that I didn't find any Brother laser printers listed. I have a networked color inkjet printer already...but I detest spending $$$ on ink so often. I simply needed another workhorse B&W printer that is dependable...one that would help to keep cost-per-page down. I began the laborious task of...

2. Fantastic printer for the price with AirPrint capabilities
I purchased this printer after years of frustration with the typical HP ink-jet woes, such as slow speed, infuriating network reliability, short half-life of ink cartridges, and poor printing reliability, especially with document feeding. After hours of research with the emphasis that my new printer needed to have the advantages of a laser printer (high-speed, high-yield, long-term reliability) paired with the ability to natively print with wireless clients, such as AirPrint on iOS devices, I happened upon this fairly recent release from Brother. All of the early reviews I have read have been very positive, and I can say that my experience over the past month has also been overwhelmingly positive.

Set-up was a breeze, followed the well-written instructions, and after plugging via ethernet into my network, I was immediately able to print from my iPhone, iPad, and Mac, as compared to previously using software to allow AirPrint via iOS on the HP inkjet which required the main...

Notes on cables and linux
Two things I wanted to share about the printer:

1) It doesn't come with a cable. So you'll probably want to also purchase a type a male to type b male usb cable.

2) It works fine on linux. You need to download the drivers. Amazon is eating my links, but they are available on the Brother website as debs and rpms.

Brother HL-5170DN Network Laser Printer

Resolutions run as high as 2,400 x 600 dpi, thanks to Brother's HQ1200 technology, resulting in accurate and crisp graphics and text. Print speeds of up to 21 ppm deliver jobs quickly so that you're free to focus on other tasks. With the 133 MHz Fujitsu SPARClite processor and 32 MB of internal memory (upgradeable to 16...

  • 133 MHz processor, 32 MB RAM, expandable to 160 MB
  • Automatic duplexing, automatic interface switching
  • Parallel, USB, and Ethernet interfaces; PC, Mac, and Linux compatible

This Laser Printers give to us some advantages, like this :
1. This IS a great printer...
I have to agree with the other review and say that this is a great printer. For about nine months now I have been using this printer in an office where it is networked to 6 PCs. Everyone in the office is pleased with the speed and quality of the print jobs handled by this machine. I also agree that this printer's main strength is as a "network" printer. It is easily connected to your network and can be left "ready and waiting" all the time.

About the only downside to this thing is that if you haven't sent a print job in a while (like overnight) it takes the printer a good while to warm up (10-15 seconds). Once it is warmed up though, it really cranks the pages out fast.

If you have a need for a solid quality, networked printer that has some high end print features, this is the machine for you!

2. Wow, suprisingly good
We purchased this printer for a home office with both Macs and PCs. This printer has terrific Macintosh OSX support and is easily monitored/controlled using it's website interface (automatically appears in Safari's bookmarks toolbar if you turn on the Safari Rendezvous preference). This printer is very fast to warm up and prints the first page in about 10 seconds. I like that it is absolutely silent when in standby mode and wakes/sleeps on its own. My only problem is that I haven't yet determined if there's a better way to switching duplex printing on/off other than via the web control panel.

great usable laser printer
This is a decent printer for what you get. The main feature I use is the network connection. I easily connected it to my network in the other room where it was convenient, and leave it turned on and plugged in all the time. It uses very little power when on standby. Then, when I want to print, I can do it from any machine in the house and very quickly (I think in 10 seconds) it starts churning out the pages.

It has lots of hidden features you have to pay more for with other printers. You can configure it with a web interface. It is postscript/pcl compatible and I think it'll work with linux if you mess around with it.

I also have a canon inkjet printer which is very good for photos, but I don't use it anywhere near as often because I have to plug it into my apple laptop, turn it on, load the photo paper and (sometimes) do a cleaning cycle.

The brother printer is just always there ready to print within 10 seconds. It's like the difference between...

This Laser Printers give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Great Color
Colors will definitely impress you. Flesh tones are super. Best performance is with the 28lb. bright white/ultra smooth paper. Highly recommend this printer over any other brand.

2. Horrible experience with Lexmark C532N until Amazon saved the day
I bought this printer after reading a number of good reviews on other websites. Regrettably, my experience with this equipment was horrible. The installation went smoothly, and the printer produced nice output right away. After about an hour away doing something else, I returned to print another job. When I sent the Word document to the printer, my PC crashed and began to reboot. This situation repeated itself two more times so I changed the USB cable, swapped the port on the PC that it was plugged in to, and downloaded and installed new drivers from the Lexmark website. Same story. The printer worked initially, and then crashed the PC when a PowerPoint presentation was sent to the printer.

I made a total of 3 calls to Lexmark tech support, and each time got the same solution. Uninstall, reinstall and everything would be fine. Well it wasn't. Even though I explained in calls 2 and 3 that all the stuff they were telling me to do had already been tried, it seemed...

This Laser Printers give to us some advantages, like this :
1. 1 year review of HP CP4005DN
Having used this printer extensively for one year I have come to the conclusion that it is the best printer I have ever owned. Picture quality is superb; really, really good for a laser. This printer is large and heavy, but that seems to be related to it's paper handling capabilities. The printer is totally quiet until you print, then it warms up instantly and prints very fast. Print quality is very consistent, every time. The printer is used for office documents and small runs of promotional literature and works flawlessly. When you use the HP 4005dn you get the feeling this printer can handle way more than your throwing at it; this printer has "depth". There are cheaper, smaller units...but when you have a deadline and you need a bullet proof solution that does a great job, every time - this is it. The only draw back would be the price of the toner, which is a little high for volume printing.

  • Parallel, USB, and 10/100 Base-T Ethernet ports
  • Automatic interface switching; PC, Mac, and Linux compatible

This Laser Printers give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Loud but effective
This is another good product from Brother. We use a number of different types of printers in our business and this is the best of bunch.

We have an all Mac office, and set-up was a breeze. We've networked it, and it also works well using the Mac's built in printer sharing over a wireless network.

Color is great, with the right resolutions you get good photographic reproduction. We use it very effectively with brochures.

One of the downsides is that accessories are expensive. Another is that in operation it is a little noisy. While in operation it makes a number of clunks and bumps, something to do with the switching between the various cartridges I think.

All and all though a very good machine. And by the way shop around a little for toner. It can be had for a lot less then the list price.

2. Can't get waste toner packs
While I am very happy with the printer, Brother currently has a very serious supply problem. The printer takes something called a waste toner pack, or WT4CL. This is a little plastic thing that probably costs a dime to produce. The manual says that it lasts about 12,000 pages. After 3,900 pages, the printer's red light came on and it would not function.

It seems that you can't get these waste toner packs anywhere in the U.S. Amazon doesn't have them, Staples doesn't have them, buy.com doesn't have them, etc. I did find them at amatteroffax.com, and paid for 2-day shipping, paid a premium over list price, and it took more than a week to receive. I also ordered 2 directly from Brother (after talking to them on the phone and wading through their phone trees...).

I just received a snail-mail letter from Brother saying "We are temporarily out of stock. Please allow 4 - 6 weeks for delivery."

Well, that is just great when your printer will not work without...

Love My Printer!!!
I did some research and felt that the Brother offered better value than the HP color laserjets. The toner seems quite expensive, but it comes with toner about half-full.

The printer is very heavy, but once I got it out of the box, the step-by-step directions to remove the protective packaging were exquisitely easy to understand. (I am gratified that a company took the effort to really make directions logical and easily understood!)

Installing the software was SIMPLE and I was up and running on my home wireless network very quickly.

It spits out full-color as fast as a copy machine spits out paper. The quality is great for powerpoint slides, but not terrific for photographs.

No more telling my kids they can't print their computer art because the inkjet takes 10 minutes -- we print a lot now! It does take one or two minutes to warm up from sleep mode.

I have read reviews complaining that it is noisy when it comes out of sleep...

I love my Noppoo Choc Mid 87 Keyboard
I stumbled upon the Noppoo Choc Mid 87 while searching for a replacement for my still functioning but lower end "rubber dome" keyboard. That keyboard had seen better days, with printing on the keypads mostly gone. It was well worn and looked it.
