This Laser Printers give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Great small footprint mechanical keyboard
This keyboard has met my every expectation. It's small, sturdy, and works flawlessly with my Win7 PC. The brown Cherry MX switches work well and strike a great balance between gaming and typing. I highly recommend it.

2. great keyboard feel
With its use of cherry red mechnical keyboard switches, this keyboard has a feel and responsiveness that is perfect for me. Highly recommended. Since it has no numeric keypad, it takes less desk space and allows my mouse to be closer to my hands.

At first, the Windows key was not working for me, but after unplugging the keyboard and plugging it back in, the Windows key started working. Perhaps the keyboard USB driver software (in Windows 7 Professional) did not initialize properly the first time.

I love my Noppoo Choc Mid 87 Keyboard
I stumbled upon the Noppoo Choc Mid 87 while searching for a replacement for my still functioning but lower end "rubber dome" keyboard. That keyboard had seen better days, with printing on the keypads mostly gone. It was well worn and looked it.

I was attracted to the Noppoo keyboard by it's good looks and the positive reviews I found while doing research on it before buying. So, I bought it. My newly purchased Noppoo Choc Mid 87, with black keycaps and Cherry MX brown switches, arrived at the end of February, 2013. What a nice keyboard! It's really well built, solid and heavy. Great!

Also, I noticed that the keycap characters appear to be printed and then coated with a transparent coating. The coating only covers the printed characters. I can see this coating, but it should help to prevent wear and to prolong the life of the printed material. Nice feature.

In addition to typing, I experimented with the Fn key in conjunction with the...

This Laser Printers give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Better than Expected
The Canon i-SENSYS LBP7200Cdn has a maximum resolution of 9600x600 dpi and prints great color photos, which was a surprise to me. Among the pros for this printer, I can count the large casing, which is a secure output tray into which paper can drop. The input tray has 250-sheet capacity, which is great for our office use. The paper handling can be increased if needed.

Standard network connectivity is provided, which is a must for any office these days. This printer has good remote monitoring features as well.

On top of everything, Canon i-SENSYS LBP7200Cdn looks very elegant with cream finish.

The drawback is that it is really heavy. You may need some strong arms to put it where you will set this printer. Once it is set-up, though, this should not be a problem.

Another con is that it isn't too fast, which is up to 20ppm.

Overall, this printer is getting the job done, and with the current price, under three hundred bucks, it is a...

2. Printer 5 stars, Canon service 0, Windows 7 problems
I'm using Windows 7 64bit. I bought this printer to put on my home network. My husband and I are heavy users, and we found that a shared printer on one of our computer did not work well for us.
We installed the printer following the instructions that came with it, and installed the Canon software from the enclosed CD, again, just as the instructions say.
The printer would not print. We could see it on the network, we could ping it, but print jobs simply would not go through.
Called Canon Customer Service. To make a long story short, after being told that 'the software on the CD does not work with Windows 7', and about an hour of 'download this, download that, install this...etc', we finally got to the 'uninstall the previous driver (the one from the CD), so we can activate the new one.' The Canon uninstaller hangs. After a couple of resets, attempts, etc, the rep told me to 'call my hardware vendor to have them get rid of the stuck driver'. Needless to say, I'm not...

Excellent value
I ordered this printer with some hesitation. The price was so low I thought it was too good to be true. It was true! I like everything about it. It is fast, easy to load toner, has a bypass tray, 2 sided printing, network capability and it hasn't jammed. Oh yes, it makes really nice prints. It was pretty easy to set up. Cons: First page from a cold printer is a little slow and, like so many devices today, there is no printed user manual. All told, it was just what I needed at the right price.

This Laser Printers give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Great office printer - works great under Linux
After searching a number of reviews from users, magazines, and other sources I finally decided to replace my 12 year old LaserJet 5, and two color inkjet printers with the HP 3600dn. I actually ordered a refurbished one. The hardest part about setting up this printer was lifting it out of the box. At over 60 pounds, it is not something you are going to just move around on a whim.

This printer works fine under Linux. I connected it to the LAN using the ethernet cable and loaded the HPIJS package on my system for the printer driver (available from your favorite distribution source), told CUPS (v1.3.4) to find new printers, and it worked.

Print quality is great, just remember that this is not a photo printer. It does a good job with pictures, but it is not meant to compete against the super high resolution printers that can print on photopaper. The built in duplexer works well and saves a lot of trouble when you want to print a large double sided document...

2. If noise is no problem, here's your color printer!
Purchased to be a general printer this one works well. Fast, good color, and easy to install. when printing, you do hear lots of clicks, and other loud noises.

Great Printer for a busy office
This a a really great printer for our office.
It is a little load when it is printing but the quality over shadows the noise.
Wireless connection to the printer wa pretty easy. We have 4 offices that print to it with out any problem.
It holds a good amount of paper and the duplexor has been great to use as well.
Color pages are great as long as you are not trying to print photos on photo paper. It doesn't do so great in that department.
Fast and reliable is what we were looking for and that is what we got.

This Laser Printers give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Excellent. By far the best all-in-one that we've used.
We go through printers pretty frequently, because we move them a lot, which doesn't seem to improve their durability. We have had color laser all-in-ones from HP and Brother before this, and an inkjet all-in-one from Canon before those.

This is by far the best out of any of the all-in-ones that I've tried or owned. I highly recommend it. The output is great and it is simple to use and maintain. I even find that the cartridges last longer on this one than the previous Brother machine that I've had, when comparing actual life to advertized life.

The only features that the 9970 have that isn't common among the field of color laser all-in-ones, is the duplex printing, and the color touch screen. Both work great, and surprised me. I was worried that the duplex feature would cause jams and other problems, but it never has. I thought that the touch screen was a useless gimmick that added cost with no real benefit. That too proved to be inaccurate. It is...

  • Print and copy at up to 30ppm
  • Ethernet, High-Speed USB 2.0 and Parallel interfaces
  • 1200 x 1200 dpi Laser Printing

This Laser Printers give to us some advantages, like this :
1. The (almost) perfect Multi-function printer!
This was my third Brother MFC printer. I was trying to replace my current MFC9600 that has been been excellent for more than 5 years. I wanted the duplex functionality, the better print quality, as well as the some of the additional features.

And you better believe it, this machine is IT! Faster faxing, faster and better quality scanning, faster copying and printing, better quality prints and copies, and many more very beneficial features that I really liked. being technically savvy, it was a breeze setting it up as a wireless printer without using the Brother wizard in the CD. So, after a quick setup, I was able to complete all my tasks wirelessly...

I was very pleased with my purchase. Everything was actually perfect until I tried printing on an envelope. The first time I printed on an envelope, the result was a completely wrinkled envelope. Then I tried again, and same result. I thought that I could survive with a wrinkled envelope anyway. So, a week later, I...

2. No warnings on the box - but good enough!
Oh how I wanted this, I like brother printers - and a wireless one that supports OS9 OSX, and Windows too, USB, wireless, or ethernet - wowee! Then I opened the box, does not do wireless with OS9. Oh well, then I plugged it in and every UPS in my office chimed and the lights flickered when I turn it on. Yep, even plugged straight into the wall, this room heater uses 9.1 Amps, and I bet 11 when it first powers up. So, this just won't work in an average home office - we have 15 amp lines - a few computers, a TV, a radio, a light, and that can add up to 7 amps - add this fax machine and pop a breaker. I never got a chance to test it, but it sure sounds good. If you have a 20-amp circuit, or can dedicate a 15-amp circuit to it, I'm sure it's a great machine.

Well, I tried it again, put it downstairs in a room with no other computers and
tried the wireless option. Ok, I'm keeping it! On my main wireless laptop, it
works great, my other wireless laptop - in the same...

Fantastic for the price
I bought this printer from Costco and got the wireless feature for the same price as the non-wireless version with a rebate. It's works extremely well. It's very fast and the quality is excellent. I was unsure whether I needed the duplexing feature but since I have it, I use it all the time and am very pleased that I opted for this model. No, this machine cannot print on envelopes. Don't even try it. I don't need this feature so I can get over it. I print on labels instead. The Brother software is easy to use and works well. I love being able to scan into a pdf document or email directly from a scan. The auto document feeder works very well. I have no complaints other than the envelope problem. I defintely recommend this machine. It does everything I need, very well and for a very reasonable price.

This All Products give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Great as office printer/scanner/fax
This unit was purchased for a small business from Office Depot. It is heavily used for faxing and printing. Occasionally we use the scanning function. Everything works great!!! Extremely fast. Warms up almost instantaneously. Never have to wait. Paper path is greatly improved from older units where paper kept on getting stuck. Toner price is great and much cheaper per page than other products out there. We have it set up on our office network and it works flawlessly. Overall, we are very happy with it. Will provide updates as we spend more time with it. Because we got $100 off during an office depot sale, we got a great deal....

It can print from mobile devices like iphones, ipads, and android phones and tablet but we have not explored that yet. Also we have not taken advantage of its wireless functionality yet...

update 12/16/12...still works flawlessly. We really use this printer hard. Haven't had any problems..been about three months..

2. By far the best printer I've ever owned--and I've gone through several
I'm a business owner and my printers are used in a small office. My last printer was a Brother 9440 and it was okay until it started bleeding color stripes down each page--made me rethink having a color printer when I seldom use color.

This printer is a HUGE leap forward in every way (without the color). There is virtually no warm-up, click print and it does. Duplexing is built in (I never forked over the extra $$ for a duplexing tray before) AND it will copy then print both sides in a single pass almost as fast a one sided! Last but not least I'm actually able to use the enormous software suite that used to just drain my time; when you click SCAN TO EMAIL up pops your new email with a .pdf file attached--I can't tell you how much time I've wasted on this because the previous software didn't work well.

I don't do a lot of reviews but this one was worth the time; hopefully it will help small businesses (and others) with their decision.

Works fine...unless you have Windows 8
This printer has great functionality - the scanning works very well, it prints quickly and is easy to use with my husband's Windows 7 laptop. Unfortunately it doesn't print at all with my Windows 8 laptop. I have made numerous calls to Brother, Lenovo and Microsoft to try and resolve this issue and they all blame each other for the problem. Brother finally released their Win8 driver last week and my computer will not install the printer driver due to a kernel mode driver error.

  • High-quality color is within easy reach thanks to the added freedom of wireless connectivity.
  • Wireless-N connectivity lets you easily connect multiple users to the high-quality color of the C544dw
  • Get a product built to last with a 55,000 page duty cycle.
  • Extra-High Yield toner cartridges available for extra-low printing costs; Compact design makes the C544dw perfect for desktop printing in color.
  • Save paper and the environment with automatic two-sided printing; with energy-saving Eco Mode.
  • Connect multiple users to one device with advanced ethernet networking capabilities

This Laser Printers give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Not as fast as other models
This unit replaced my Ricoh 3500 Color Laser. While the Lexmark has print advantages, its a slower machine print wise in:

Energy Save Mode - To first print job it makes a low buzzing noise when it is warming up. I miss the instant spool up of the Ricoh.
Duplex Mode it feeds the paper out and then pulls it back in, a rather inefficient and slower duplexing system and to an impatient person you may pull the copy from the feeder causing a misprint.

What it lacks in mechanical speed, I feel it makes up in print quality, so its a fair compromise for the price range.

2. Disaster
While advertised as being compatible with the Macintosh operating system, the installation manual's instructions for getting the wireless system working do not work. I needed to use Lexmark's live chat (and allow them to wire in to my computer) to get it working using a completely different installation procedure. Then within a few weeks, the wireless network card began having problems and I needed to resort to live chat again. The technician told me there was NO way to install the printer on a Mac, even though I'd already done it. Almost three hours later, while trying to access a menu on the printer that apparently does not actually exist, the printer started printing from the queue on its own. The technician declared the printer fixed. Within an hour, it stopped working again. The error code clearly says the network card has an unrecoverable error and needs to be replaced, but Lexmark keeps sending me new things to try to get it working. So now I can only use my wireless printer...

Perfect for my small home office
I am a graphic designer and have a small home office. It prints well and I really like the duplex feature. It has rarely jammed, and when it did, it was easy to clear the jam. The toner is very easy to change. I did have a bit of trouble setting up the wireless feature, but Lexmark's customer service was excellent. They patiently worked with me to set it up -- and they didn't even make me feel like an idiot! The only thing that surprised me was the cost of the replacement toner. However, the overall cost of the laser toner is lower than the cost of multiple inkjet cartridges. And I like their free recycle/postage return paid toner program.

1. Great printer
Very fast, great quality in draft, much less $ per page than my ink-sucking Epson. Only complaint is lack of easy sheet/envelope feed. Fast shipment from vendor.

2. Worst HP printer I have ever owned
Worked OK for about 9 months. Paper jams with no paper in the machine? Must be that new stealth paper. Web printing? Yea never got it to work. Had to reinstall the drivers almost weekly for some reason. When it worked it was fine. The HP bloatware on the CD is terrible. To open a photo takes a long time on a i5 with 4gb of ram. (uninstalled) Did not save my receipt so when I did a lookup on the website out of warrentee. OMG I am so fed up with HP. I used to repair these printers years ago. HP? What happened. I can not find anyone to even look at it. One guy said 100 bucks. Well for 150 I can get a nice Epson 630..... By HP nice knowing you (not)

Super Printer!
I had read bad and good reviews for this printer before deciding to buy one. I think that the bad reviews are from people who either got a lemmon or are just not good at reading technical manual instructions.
This printer is a last years Stapels model. It works eithernet connected or wirelessly with equal results which are picture perfect and fast. I can't believe I paid only $115.00 plus $17.32 for shipping since the newer Staples offering sells for $249.00 on sale.

Samsung CLP-670ND Color Laser Printer

Cheapest Samsung CLP-670ND Color Laser Printer

25/25 (Black & Color) page per minute, Color Laser Printer, Built-in Network and Duplex
  • Heavy Duty Color Laser Printer for efficiency and productivity.
  • Superior technology, high quality color prints and minimzed operation costs.
  • Built-in Network and duplex for more efficiency and cost savings.

This Laser Printers give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Good start, terrible finish.
Purchased this printer for a specific and not particularly hard work purpose (amongst many other large and small print systems). Love the output although its a bit pricey on toner.
After a few weeks of use we noticed phantom "jams" that caused duplicate print outs. Following these getting worse I decided to spend some quality time with Samsung support.
Firstly, they did not have this printer listed on their support site so I had to contact them directly. I was then told that the printer was too new and they were not trained to support it (this is Samsung) so I had to call a special phone number. I called this number only to be told it was out of warranty (well inside the 1 year warranty). Next step was to prove warranty status and then go through the issue. Finally the issue was diagnosed as a faulty paper cassette and they were going to send a new one. I received a ticket (after multiple calls) and waited patiently only to subsequently receive a "this ticket has been...

2. Great printer!
I have been using the CLP-670ND color laser printer for nearly a year and it works flawlessly.

Pros:

It prints fairly quickly, with only a short 10-15 second warm up from a cold start.

The duplexer works correctly, and the Samsung printer driver allows you to set up default settings for all programs, and temporary settings for just one printing job in a single program.

Unlike the HP color laser printer it replaced which did not print to accurate scale, the Samsung printer prints dimensioned drawings very accurately when "Fit to paper" is not selected. A 10" long object in a CAD drawing prints exactly 10" long if 1:1 scaling is selected.

The printer maintenance program runs locally (unlike the HP) and does not require an Internet connection to determine toner status with long delays while endless ads are shown.

When a toner cartridge is getting low the printer tells you to "prepare a new toner cartridge" and allows you...

Wonderful printer
The Samsung CLP-670ND Color Laser Printer is all a small business or heavy duty home user could ask for. The colors are very deep, brilliant and accurate. The registration (alignment of the 4 color layers) is so good that no mis-alignment can be seen even with a magnifying glass.

The printer to PC connection can be either USB or Ethernet (network). When connected to the network, the printer can be configured to email any problems it finds or status reports (such as "sleeping" or "paper jam" or "out of paper", etc...).

There are drivers available for Windows, MAC-OS and Linux... so it should work for almost everyone.

Although this is a "document" printer, it's print quality is so good that, when used with photo quality paper, it works great as a PHOTO printer.

The printer is fast. If it's asleep when the print job starts, it takes about 15 seconds to "wake up and warm up". After that the prints just come out one after another. I timed it and,...

This Laser Printers give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Lousy, Worst Printer We've ever bought
Bought this for the office to replace a Dell 1320c which was a real trooper. This boasted a smaller size, for which we were excited. Having religiously bought HP 4250's, which we believe to be the best printers on the market, expectations for these were fairly high.

The printer is louder than the workstation printers we have, runs a 20 second cycle before printing. It prints really slowly, comparing to the dell color laser, not a monochrome laser. Afterwards, it continues running (still quite loudly) before clicking off. Intermittently (usually when you're on the phone) it decides to run a cleaning cycle. Sometimes if you're in a hurry, your print job will coincide with this random cycle, making your already slow job take a ridiculously long time.

The paper tray holds very little paper, and is constantly in need of replenishment. This is complicated by the fact that the last page always causes a paper jam, requiring the printer to be shut off and back on...

2. Great Printer except for one little thing
I bought this printer to replace an AIO that we never used the scanner, copier, fax capabilities. This being printer that uses the same toner cartridge, it was perfect for what we needed. One that bugs me and has kept me from giving it a 5 star review is that even though I configured it to use greyscale only, the printer still uses the colors. Other than that great printer!

This Laser Printers give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Poor Quality
I tried out two units and had to return them both for poor quality printouts. The first unit arrived with toner (all the colors) that had leaked inside the printer. The printouts had two very light lines in the same place on all the colors. With the toner leak, I assumed that the printer was probably damaged during shipping; so I returned it and asked for a replacement. The replacement arrived with a broken tray that feeds the paper into the scanner. Since the tray is a separate piece that connects to the printer, I figured it could be replaced separately. So, I tried printing and found that the printouts had light and dark lines. The lines were not as distinct as the printouts in the first unit, but they were visible from across the room.

2. All around, the best
Laser, color, fax, duplex printing, scanning and faxing, quick copier. I tried Epson, HP and Canon. This is by far the best, most solid, friendly and easier setup. Prints very good too.

Bought this printer through a local business supply company. It easily connected to my home wireless network and it was simple to get our familys laptops connected. It prints quickly, almost noiselessly, and the color printing is beautiful (black and white is good too). Very pleased with it so far

Xerox PHASER 6280 COLOR LASER PRINTEPHASER 6280 COLORLASER PRINTER
  • Borderless Printing - No
  • Catalog Publishing Type - Printers-Laser/Solid Ink
  • Compliance, Standards - ENERGY STAR Qualified
  • Connector/Port/Interface - Ethernet, USB
  • Depth - 19.30 in

This Laser Printers give to us some advantages, like this :
1. So far so GREAT...
I learned about this printer from the good reviews on [...], and although it had no reviews (yet) on amazon I decided to give it a shot. I purchased through Price Pros (shipping was much cheaper than others). Item arrived on time. Printer is heavy, so if you're looking for something small and "easily stashable" then this probably isn't for you. I use it for my home office (moderate use) and was sick of spending a fortune on ink jet cartridges so I personally don't care about the size. Setup took about 15 mins (actually pretty simple if you know how to follow directions) and I have it hooked up through an old apple airport wireless router.

Currently have an iMac at the house and use a PC for work (still dreaming for the day when my office will make the switch to Mac). This printer works great on both and setup was just as easy on the windows machine. I wish I had more drama to write about, but it simply works like a charm. Prints fantastic and VERY fast. After about...

2. Excellent Color Copier for Home business
Good.
1. Good paper feed.
2. Easy to setup (my printer is wired to my wireless apple router)
3. Works well with Macs (tiger and leopard) and PC (windows xp, although it take longer to setup the windows)
4. Fairly quiet operation and silent sleep mode.

Bad.
1. You have to pull out the large plastic front cover to feed cards, envelopes ect. and it is a bit of pain
2. Heavy stock comeout bit curled.
3. Color quality while very good, I am sure is better on other color printers.

Conclusion.
1. This is my second color printer (I returned the first due to noise of operation) and I will keep this one.
2. I would recommend this printer to most home/small business use.

xerox phaser 6280. Run away. Do not consider.
I needed a good quality color printer to handle medium sized print jobs. I though Xerox would be a good professional brand. I selected this model based on the published specs. That was June 29, 2010.

Upon arrival the printer would not print red. Customer service sent a new cartridge. No change. The tech came out and couldn't fix it. He and the engineer decided to replace the printer. THREE WEEKS LATER I received the new printer. It would not align the black print with color. Many tech visits and replacement parts later, the problem is not fixed. In the meantime, I have to keep calling customer service after each tech visit because there is NO FOLLOW UP from the company. If I don't call and complain nothing happens.

It is now September 17, 2010 and I asked for the unit to be replaced. Customer Service can only send out another tech. It will no doubt take another few weeks when or if I receive a working printer. So THREE MONTHS after buying a XEROX...

Dell Color Laser Printer 1320c

Cheap Dell Color Laser Printer 1320c

* 600 dpi x 600 dp MAX RESOLUTION | MAX PRINT SPEED (BLACK): 16ppm | MAX PRINT SPEED (COLOR): 12ppm * 250 SHEET MAX PAPER TRAY * DELL STANDARD 1320c TONERS INCLUDED IN BOX (1,000 PAGE YIELD) * Interface: USB 2.0, Ethernet 10/100Base-TX (CABLES NOT INCLUDED) * 333 MHz | 64 MB Max RAM
  • Offers print speeds of up to 16 pages per minute in black (actual print speed will vary with use)
  • Delivers professional quality prints with up to 600 x 600 dpi resolution
  • Offers the Dell Toner Management System software to let you to easily manage supplies
  • Includes Cyan, Magenta, Yellow and Black Cartridges (1000 page yield1)

This Laser Printers give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Good Color Laser - Poor Single Sheet Feed
We've had this printer for over a year. We are moderate home users, mostly home projects and school reports - maybe 500 pages a month or so. The usual issues with expensive toner cartridges -- we've gone through the starter set plus one additional set of cartridges. Generally haven't had any jamming problems and have had very good print quality. BUT we use a lot of special paper like label sheets, card sheets, colored paper, etc. - more expensive paper that you don't want to leave in the main paper tray -- I tend to use the single sheet feed slot a lot. And the single-sheet feed on the Dell 1320c is completely useless. It is incapable of getting the paper to feed properly, no matter how carefully you position the paper in the slot, no matter how hard you work to "help" the paper feed straight. I don't think I ever even tried envelopes. I really don't understand how, after all these years, correct paper feeding is still "rocket science" for printer manufacturers. Anyway,...

2. Best personal printer I have owned.
After years of having to replace cartridge after cartridge in my old deskjet, I decided to replace it with a printer that didn't have that problem, while at the same time producing high-quality prints at an effective rate of speed. That led me to the Dell 1320c. Am I ever glad that this is the printer I bought!

Let me tell you, it's hands down the best personal-use printer I have ever owned. The color print quality is as good as anything you'll find--at least as good as your neighborhood Kinko's, maybe better. The cartridge capacity is pretty good, but this isn't a printer designed for spitting out thousands of pages a day. However, for a personal or home office use, it's going to be hard to beat a printer that does all this, rarely breaks down, and almost never has any hardware glitches that plague some cheaper models.

It's only real drawback is its size: at more than a foot in each dimension, it doesn't do well ask a desk printer.

So, in summary,...

Sweet!
Purchased this one in Nov '10 after a lot of research and angst before finally hitting the "BUY" button. I must say that I am very impressed with this baby so far. It is what it is - a basic color laser print. Not a lot of fancy stuff to get in the way or broke. Just sits there all quiet and asleep until it is called into action. Whines a wee-bit when printing but still quieter than my ink-jets. Not the fastest kid on the block (still pretty decent though); but take one look at that fabulous output and then you'll be asking yourself "...how did I ever make do without this baby before now??"

It was a piece of cake to set up. There is not a display to walk you through the setup options, but there is really nothing to do if you are connecting directly to your PC/MAC. Comes with the Mac driver disk so once that is loaded you just need to ID it in your printer preferences (Google for mac setup how-to), point to the installed driver and BOOM, there it is. Setting it up on...

This Laser Printers give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Heavy Duty Color Laser
We have been using this at our office as a netwrok printer for a year and a half. Mostly for documents, charts and company resumes.

Pros:
-The color laser printout of images is very good even on a regular copy paper. You get better results using bright white photo paper. We have not to try it on a glossy paper yet but it can. But just don't compare it with an inkjet yet.
-Printing color images even for a full page is amazingly fast. Approximately mere 5 seconds per full color page.
-Compare to an inkjet, laser printers are much economical on ink. Inkjets are notorious for selling you the unit almost at a giveaway price and then selling a full set of replacement ink for the same price as the printer itself.
-Multiplatform. Windows and Mac
-Duplex printing.
-It can print up to 11 x 17 paper.
-The warm up time, around 15 secs is decent
-The spec claims a duty cycle of 120,000 pages per month. We are printing around 5000 pages a...

2. Nightmare!!!
This is certifiably the worse nightmare product I have ever bought. After paying $4000 for it 5 years ago, the printer began to have multiple print quality problems within the first year and half. From that point on it was one maddening experience with HP [lack of] support after another. We had to pay $30 at one point to get the quality pay-per-tech-service they required us to use; the guy freaking read the website trouble shooting guide to me while I screamed at him over the phone. We took the machine in to a certified repair technician and ended up replacing the fuser, image transfer kit, and all four toner cartridges even though they all showed more than 33% life left. Some problems were fixed but others not (it can't seem to print the same exact shade of tan across an entire page for instance, and there are intermittent black streaks that pop up.) We actually had to replace the transfer kit again after only 1 year and almost no use because it created large stripes of color...

Pretty good workgroup printer. Good supply of maint parts available.
I support six of these units.

Overall, they perform pretty well.

Depending on how intense your usage is, you might require some add on parts such as:
- more RAM
- external hard drive to help with job storage and collating
- IF you THINK you might need the duplexing capability, purchase the printer that INCLUDES it.
(buying the duplex unit later will cost over $100 more, to buy as as add on device)

Pros:

- can do most paper sizes, including 11 x 17
- service manuals readily available
- maint parts readily available
- add ons readily available
- with more vendors in the marketplace, you can buy parts cheaper than if you had to deal directly with a single source parts vendor.
- Service: if you buy the service manuals online and someone in your office has some technical abilities, you can most likely fix almost any problem that might arise. The HP service manuals have pretty well documented trouble...

This Laser Printers give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Good but not great
After a reload of the OS, my old HP laser was no longer compatible with my Mac computer, so I went looking for a color laser that did duplex printing (trying to be a bit green). My use is at home for personal as well as some business printing.

The set up was easy and the instructions clear. Printing in B&W single sided is fast and of high quality. I find the color printing to be a bit muted and not photo-like, but still acceptable. The biggest negative is the duplex printing. It works, but... When I select two-sided printing, it takes forever to print. It is so slow that I have given up using it completely. As I was hurrying out of the house on a road trip, I tried to print a Google map in duplex, and it took so long I simply left the house without the map. I don't know what is going on inside, but this is so bad I'm shocked it ever was released.

Once I ignore duplex printing, and treat it like a nice feature I will rarely if ever use, then I am...

2. Excellent Except for Envelope Printing
I've had this printer for over a year in my workplace, and it has been excellent for everything except printing envelopes. This is our networked printer, so our 5-person office all use it. We do a lot of printing and a lot of it is graphical and colorful.

When it comes to printing a single envelope, it jams the printer. We get around that by printing labels instead or using a different network printer to do envelopes. It was out of warranty when I discovered the issue; I wonder if it was a manufacturer's defect in our machine (and may not be a problem in most machines.)

Print speed is very fast (it just takes about 15 seconds to warm up before first page out, then easily prints text only at 30 pages per minute (ppm)). It takes a long time to print graphics-heavy PowerPoint presentations, but if you're printing multiple copies of a presentation, the first print is very slow and subsequent copies are quicker. Color graphics are excellent and crisp, and so is black...

Good value for an economy color laser
I replaced an aging tank-like Konica-Minolta color laser which never worked right and cost a fortune to maintain. This printer has worked fine with Mac OSX in a wireless Airport Express environment for two years. It did have a failed power supply for the fuser which gave error messages. It was fixed in home for free. I have been pleased with the cost of replacement cartridges. They seem to last longer than my former color laser and cost less than half to replace. You are replacing toner only, not an entire roller assembly. The toner is available everywhere. It is not fast at start-up nor when printing Adobe PDF's. I upgraded memory and added a second paper drawer. For some reason when the paper runs out on the top drawer, it does not automatically shift to the next drawer as other printers do. Maybe this is a software issue that I have not found.
Pros: Less expensive toner replacement than others; Has worked with Mac OSX; Has a single feed slot; compact.
Cons: Slow start-up...

  • Flexible wireless (802.11b/g), wired (Ethernet) network connection and Hi-Speed USB 2.0 interfaces
  • Dual paper trays provide total capacity of 350 sheets

This Laser Printers give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Great features, great function, one caveat...
This is a large printer with lots of features that work well. I set this up on the wireless function to operate with my Mac. It only took one setup and I've experienced no problems with the range, which I did experience on my HP initially. Sending documents to print is a fast and easy task. It has an easy to use and good looking large touchscreen to take you through each menu. This is great and time saving when compared with other printers. Having the ability to print ledger photos without going to a printer store is fantastic and I used it to make several posters for our portfolio.

Now to the caveat, big or small depending on your needs. The print quality is not nearly as good as the HP. It's comparable to other brands, very similar to what Lexmark puts out, but could not compare in color quality to my HP. Yesterday, I needed to print out a color chart for our business products and I did a couple on the normal settings on my HP. Then my ink got low so I switched...

2. Good for a specialized purpose
After using this printer's predecessor (MFC-6490CW) for over a year, I can offer the following:

My requirements are very specific. I need ledger-size (11x17) scanning and printing...period. Just try to find an AIO at this price that will do that (unless you want to pay $600+?) Most of my documents are B&W, some with a small amount of color highlighting, and this printer works flawlessly for that purpose.

For color photos, make sure you use photo paper or the color is so washed out even at the custom maxed-out settings that I don't bother printing photos on plain paper.

The automatic document feeder, ADF, is somewhat flakey and skews the paper a bit too much for my finiky demands so I just limit myself to using the glass-top surface for most scanning.

I love the scan-to-file feature that doesn't require input from the PC and allows several file formats as the default, including PDF. If you are not picky about the document skewing of the ADF,...

Very good if you need ledger printing. Not so good if you don't.
After owning and reviewing both the excellent Canon Pixma MX850 Office All-In-One Inkjet Printer and the almost as-good Canon PIXMA MX860 Wireless All-In-One Photo Printer, Brother has to make an airtight case against Canon when they're looking to get twice as much money out of your wallet.

Unless printing on 11 x 17" (ledger) paper is a make-or-break need, Brother doesn't make a very good case against the less expensive Canon offerings.

Of course, this is Brother's flagship inkjet AIO offering, so they've thrown in a gimmicky touchscreen. Sure, it's kind of cool, but it doesn't really help accomplish much beyond jacking up the price. Is it missing from other AIO printers? Sure. Does it add any value? No.

Setting the printer up on MacOS X was quite painless, making for an unexpected treat. Setting the printer...

When I ordered this item I was aware that it didn't come with the adapter cord, however, I was not aware that it didn't work properly and also that it didn't come with the software to connect it with my computer. I will never order from this person again. When I printed out a test sheet, it came out perfect, but anytime I try to print something from my computer, or from the Internet, it only prints what it wants to print.

Lexmark X4530 Wireless All-in-One Printer

Bargain Lexmark X4530 Wireless All-in-One Printer

  • Hi-Speed USB
  • IEEE 802.11b; IEEE 802.11g
  • 100 sheets
  • Up to 24 ppm (mono) / up to 17 ppm (color) print

This Laser Printers give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Great printer
This printer works great. It was very easy to set up. I have 3 laptops using this printer and it works fine. Black and white prints are fast. Color is a little bit slower obviously. Color quality was ok; I have NOT tried to print photos on here yet so I can't comment on that.

The scanner/copier is awesome. You can scan a document and tell it which computer you'd like it to show up on. The printer will then scan that particular computer and tell you which different programs (word, adobe, etc)the document can be scanned into. You choose and viola, the document is there within a minute.

Ink consumption is minimal. I went from having an ink gobbling Epson cx6000 (check my review) to this. HUGE difference. With my Epson (or ALL Epsons according to the reviews) I was buying ink constantly. Not so with this printer. I'm a college student and I've gone through an entire semester of school only using 1/4 of the black ink.

Overall, I'd say this printer is well...

2. great printer for the price!
We needed a wireless all in one and found this at Circuit City for $54...set up in minutes---nice quality prints for the right price. Maybe not as speedy as others, but gets the job done.

Lexmark x4530 all in one printer
The printer is great. easy to set up but a little large than my old lexmark. it is a little slow in printing especially with the wireless hook up. otherwise the printed pages are crisp and neat. I wish they would find a way for inexpensive ink because with 2 ink cartridges is quite expensive. how about refillabe ink cartridges.?

This Laser Printers give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Fast But Expensive
At the time I purchased this color laser, it was the best of the home consumer color laser printers available. What sold me was its blazing speed for both B&W and color printing. I have since added a second paper tray devoted exclusively to envelopes. While it is certainly a professional machine, therein lies one of its major drawbacks, i.e., no single feed envelope feeder slot. You have to manually change the feeder configuration and the software preferences each and every time you print even a single envelope. Sometimes the software gets stuck and won't revert to letter feed, and I have to shut it off and reboot to get it to go back. This is a very expensive printer to operate. Adding options is very costly. The unit is now as large as a Volkswagon too. I have had it about 8 months and am down to 1/4 left on the toner (an average home user and not doing photo printing). To replace the four toner cartridges will cost as much as the entire printer cost. It is hard to find supplies...

2. Overpriced and shoddy supplies
I purchased this printer largely because of the great price, the large capacity toner cartridges and the reputation of Konica/Minolta. The print cartridges are expensive, do not print but about half of the 6000 projected page rate, and tend to develop print problems long before the toner is used up. Steer clear of this product, because outside of speed, it simply does not perform as advertised.

good printer!
I do a lot of printing at home, a ink jet printer would only last me 8 months. I bought this printer intending to put it through heavy use. It exceeded my expectations, the color often prints at around 30 PPM. Costs can be kept down by using after market toner. My price per sheet is around .08 a sheet, compared to my old ink jets printers, that's cheap. I keep close track of my usage, I have got over 5000 sheets on most cartridges. I have printed around 13,000 sheets with this beast without any problems.

HP CP3505N Color Laserjet Printer. Your work team wants color output, and they want it delivered fast. HP understands, which is why this printer produces both color and black and white pages at speeds up to 22 pages per minute ppm. Unlike some competitors printers, which take minutes to deliver a first page, this printer delivers in just 12.5 seconds from PowerSave with Instant on Technology. Since many print jobs are three pages or less, your document will often finish printing before other pri...

  • 66.00 Lbs (WxLxH) 16.90" x 20.10" x 16.30"

This Laser Printers give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Printer Plagued with Network & Speed
We purchased this printer largely to print color images on envelopes, as well as for printing full size color brochures. We also needed a networked printer for our office's multiple systems in 3 rooms. So far, this printer has let us down on both counts.

The print speed, quality and reliability has been sub-par. And the software required to run the printers has eaten up over 40 hours of IT time - the software causes the print spooler to crash on Windows XP and you must restart your system (or manually restart the print spooler on each system) to get this to print. For each print job. So much for the "speed" advantages of laser printers.

In terms of print speed, it prints single page documents very quickly, but there is a gap of 10-60 seconds between each page. Printing 10 Standard A4-size envelopes takes over 3 minutes to start up, then 20-40 seconds between each envelope. So printing 10 envelopes often takes close to 10 minutes. On larger documents, the...

2. So far so good
I got this printer to replace an HP 3550n which suddenly gave me an error that I couldn't fix, at least not without spending money to get HP to tell me what was wrong, and I wasn't willing to do that, not when new cartridges cost more than an entirely new machine. This machine was exactly the cost of 4 new cartridges, and guess what? I get a whole new warranty! Wait, there's more. It's faster, at 22 pages rather than 16. It's smaller, and takes up less space! And there's more... the new cartridges are rated for 6,000 pages rather than 4,000. So while I hate the idea that HP forced me to buy a new machine, it turned out pretty well. And yes, the thing works exactly as I hoped it would. Easy to set up, easy to network to all 3 of my office computers, and easy to use. So no complaints. Definitely worth getting.

HP Color LaserJet 3500 ( Q1319A#ABA )

Buy HP Color LaserJet 3500 ( Q1319A#ABA )

Color LaserJet 3500 Printer Color LaserJet 3500 printer series. Vibrant color, same speed ease as in black-only printing. Print up to 12 ppm in color OR back-only. Hi-speed USB 2.0 networking. standard 64MB. Supports Windows 98, 2000, ME and XP. Also supports Apple Mac OS 9.x and 10.x

This Laser Printers give to us some advantages, like this :
1. BIG, Fast and Quiet
Pros:
- Easy to install.
- Print quality is excellent.
- Fast and quiet for an economy color laser.
- Prints excellent color photos much cheaper than inkjet.

Cons:
- Be ready for size shock, it's big.
- Not very fast for Black and White

2. The best color laser printer under $1000 for Mac or Windows users
I have a network of four permanent computers, and several itinerant ones. These computers have included every iteration of Windows from 98 to XP Pro SP2, as well as OS X.3 and X.4.

This printer performs flawlessly with all of them, and has only been made more accessible through Apple's handy Bonjour software.

The color is startlingly good, and the speed is certainly more than the average home user would need, and enough for all but the highest-volume of business users. The flexibility of the on-board software allows you to control everything from print margins to paper size to color options from the printer itself, bypassing any settings you might have made in whatever program you're printing from.

USB 2.0 connections allow for very fast delivery of complex artwork--but this feature can be easily overrated. Depending on your network setup you may or may not be able to actually achieve this speed, through no fault of the printer's.

It does...

This Laser Printers give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Superb color, superb product!
(...)This printer is FAST! I use this printer for printing customer proofs (I'm a part-time professional photographer), and the colors are more accurate than photo-quality ink-jet prints (although ink-jet prints are generally more pleasing to the eye).

2. What a Great Printer - A Workhorse
I've had this printer for about a year now and it has been amazing. I work on private placements frequently and sometimes need to be able to print 100+ page documents at all hours of the day and night. This printer can crank them out amazingly fast, with great print quality and duplex printing to save paper. (I formerly used an old laser Multi-function device that printed at about 25% the speed, with no color, duplex or network connectivity - uggh!)

While I do not use the printer for extensive photo printing or other home/entertainment purposes, the color printing is excellent for business purposes - reports, proposals, etc.

The internal print server did burn out about 6 months after I bought it. HP Service was great - sent me a new part ASAP and I was up and running right away - very much unlike some of the customer support experiences I have had with other consumer electronic device manufacturers (Philips/TiVo). (The issue manifested itself by the printer...

  • 600 x 600 dpi resolution
  • 375-sheet capacity, expandable to 875
  • USB, parallel, network connectivity; PC and Mac compatible

This Laser Printers give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Good for personal use
OK, I have owned this model of printer for about five years now. I got tired of the slow, messy, cheesy, ink jet printers and decided to go for a quality color laser printer. As an IT Professional and someone who supported business class laser printer, I knew that HP provides quality. In my opinion, this printer makes a great personal printer and could be used in a small office. The HP 2500 color laser cannot keep up with the demand of a high volume office. For my purposes, occasional documents and quarterly reports, this printer meets my needs. The time to print from cold start is a long one but this is a case for all color laser printers of this vintage. Yes, it make a lot of noise on start up. It is testing all the components. As for print speed, it is faster than in ink jet and for personal use, I think that most people would be fine with the speed. I did, however, opt for the extra paper tray. This makes life a lot easier.

2. Decent
I can't believe these are still around. I owned one a few years back. For a hundred bucks, if u get one in good working condition with full toner, you should be pretty happy.

From what I remember, it is slow and loud like the trolls mentioned. What sticks out in my mind was image quality. It is just so so. Not sharp, not vibrant in color, maybe even a little blurry. Just kind of blah, Forget about photo quality! Maybe I had the wrong drivers, idk. Didn't seem like 600dpi. I've seen better 300dpi.

I also remember replacement toner costing an arm and leg, probably par for the course.

It certainly isn't marvelous like shill fanboy suggests. It isn't garbage either.

Just middle of the road. I'm in the market now and not considering it.

WORST printer ever
It's slow piece of junk. And I mean SLOW.

I've had to use this thing for the last two years at my work. It's been an experience similar to the one they had with the printer on the movie Office Space. The sad part is that I work in a computer support office. Of all the printers we support this is the worst one. But it's the one we're stuck with.

The guy who gave it 5 stars must be employed by HP. Don't buy this or you will be sorry.

Pros: None.

Cons: Horridly slow. Smears colors everywhere. One of the color cartridges is always out of ink which makes the whole thing stop printing.

This Laser Printers give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Nice printer so far
First, let me explain that I am a casual home user. Not being expert in networked printers, I'd not be posting this review except for the fact that in researching this printer I found almost no posted reviews anywhere online. I figured my observations were better than none.

Although I am a novice at installing and configuring a printer on a wired network, I followed the instructions (which were straightforward) and was able to set it up and get it working in under 20 minutes, with no problems at all.

Print quality looks good, but (of course) pictures don't look nearly as good as on a photo inkjet printer. My tests in printing photos on the 3800dn, however, have been very simple -- printing at default settings on plain paper. Tweaking the paper or the settings might make the output more impressive. That said, the pictures showed no banding or streaking -- that is, no terrible flaws. Compared to a photo inkjet, they were pretty flat however (the use of plain papers...

2. Excellent Printer, Although big
This printer works great, the sleep mode helps save power by only consuming 15W when asleep. And it wakes up whenever a print job is sent to it within 12 seconds. The only issues I have with the printer is the cost of toner. To replace all 4 toner carts, you will end up having to spend at least 600.00 The good part about the toner is each cart is rated @6000 pages, so they last awhile. Networking works like a charm, and the duplex function is flawless. The printer changes from last year are a straight line thru for printing, and support of PCL6/5 as well as Postscript 3, which the 3600 and the 3550 do not support. Also 288MB of RAM also helps. My only grip about this printer is that the paper tray requires you push down on it while you are sliding it in, else it won't detect there is any paper. Color wise the print jobs are good, but not as great as a high end ink Jet, but on the bright side, you don't have to worry about the ink drying up nor fading, or smuding when wet.

An excellent printer - works well under stress
We've had this printer it seems like forever.(4-5yrs) and it is a workhorse. With proper driver and configuration it works like a dream. We've printed 200 page reports, booklets, invitations (full colour) certificates, pictures etc. The automatic duplex is a god sent. It's networked and the only colour laser in my company. (25 authorized users)
As with ALL HP inks, it's expensive. I have to change cartridges every 2 months. But it works and the print quality is good. The only major problem I've found so far resides between the desk and chair.

This printer does everything you need: prints, scans, and Copies. It is great for the home or office and will make your life a lot easier!
  • Printer, copier, and scanner
  • Easy to use
  • USB plug included to plug into your computer
  • Will include used black and color ink

This Laser Printers give to us some advantages, like this :
1. I own one
It works well BUT Dell is the pits... they no longer carry this model and it costs more to repair then replace. The next model up has different cartridges so if you have any left when this model goes, tough luck as they can only take a specific kind of cartridge. the quality is good, but unless you like talking to foreigners that speak broken english, you don't get very far with tech support.

2. Worst printer I have had.
Nothing but problems with this printer ever since I got it. Random paper jams on printing, complete shut downs during photo copying, poor photo scanning quality, EXPENSIVE cartridges, etc. Got so frustrated with it a few days ago trying to copy a few things I literally smashed it to bits with 5 double-fisted over head blows to the printer. Best thing I ever did, forced me to get a new one.

Worst printer...EVER!
I have had this printer for a year now, and since I got it, I have had to babysit the printing. The top is where you load the paper, and it always jams up, or doesn't suck the paper in. When it does take the paper, it prints sideways and cuts off half the page. My wife also got the same printer and had the same problems. Hand writing is easier than using this POS.

  • 16.9 pages per minute
  • Size: 15.3" x 12.3" x 9.6"
  • Input Tray Capacity: 150 sheet input drawer standard

This Laser Printers give to us some advantages, like this :
1. A fine laser printer, nice color prints.
I'm a fan of Dell products, and this printer is one of the reasons for that. It is affordable in you buy it direct from Dell (about $199) and it is very easy to set up and prepare to use with your computer. It's a little bulky for a small printer and you will need a good space for it. I have a large desk in my home that it sits on.

The quality of the color is phenomenal. Incredible color reproduction. It prints very quickly but I've noticed that it takes a few seconds to warm up to the actual printing. I've also owned a Dell 1110 black and white laser printer, also a great printer, and it's warm up time was about half that of this model.

But, that's ok. I print so little that I don't need it to be super quick. It's a work horse printer that supposedly will eject well over 1000 pages before needing new toner. If there's a real problem with this machine, it's the price for replacing the toner. It's not cheap to replace the four color representations...

2. The Samsung CLP-310 Rebranded???
I own a terrible Samsung CLP-310 that had not properly fed paper from the paper tray since day one. I have finally decided to replace it (after only a year) because Samsung cannot service the printer. As I've been looking at other small color laser printers, I came across this Dell which appears to be identical to my CLP-310. Has Dell taken Samsung's old (failed) CLP-310 and rebranded it?
