Xerox Phaser 6100/DN Network Color Laser Printer with Duplexer

Buy Xerox Phaser 6100/DN Network Color Laser Printer with Duplexer

Phaser 6100DN Network-Ready Color Laser Printer
  • 1,200 optimized dpi, true 600 x 600 dpi resolution
  • Up to 5 ppm color, 21 ppm black
  • 120 MHz processor, 64 MB RAM
  • Convenient paper-saving 2-sided printing
  • USB 2.0, parallel, and Ethernet interfaces; PC and Mac compatible

This Laser Printers give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Everything I expected!
I have had Tektronics (now Xerox) printers before and got this for my home office based on the good experiences I had with their higher-end models. I couldn't believe the price, so I was skeptical about it. So far so good. Great print quality, reasonably quiet during start-up and printing and speedy enough for my needs. Very simple network configuration and setup.

I have no way to confirm this, but it appears to be identical to the Samsung color laser at about the same price. Feature set is identical and so is physical appearance except for branding. Comes with full toners (not starters), which is different than the Samsung. Lots of replacement parts as printing levels get high, but this is pretty standard on color lasers.

Would buy it again without hesitation.

2. An excellent inexpensive network printer
I got one of these when they were heavily discounted a couple of years ago - I was originally just looking for a basic mono network printer, and was astonished when I saw a duplexing colour laser for about the same price. I've since picked up the 500-sheet second tray unit, again very cheaply.

I've had no real problems with it once I'd figured out the installation. I'm using it on a mixed PC and Mac home network - PC installation is entirely straightforward, but Mac users should check Xerox's web site for installation instructions for OS-X 10.3 and above, the manual instructions are only correct up to 10.2

So far I've needed one change of toners, when the low capacity starter toners ran out, which was expensive (but no more so than any other colour laser) and has given me 18 months of service. While it is a little on the noisy side, and slow to start up, it makes up for that by being built like a tank and extremely reliable - I'd be surprised if I've had more...

Not even for free!
We have one of these at work. Well...two actually. I refuse to put the second one into service.

We were offered one of these for free if we purchased a WorkCenter 35 Pro (another hunk of junk but don't get me started). Even for free, the Phaser 6100 is awful.

It's terribly slow, the memory is not upgradeable, the footprint is far too big (that's because you need to be able to access it from three sides, which, WTF?), it has three separate consumables not counting the four toner cartridges and the quality is about as good as one of those $99 inkjet units from WalMart.

After we got the first one, I swore never again but the boss had already purchased another WorkCenter 35. We've used the second Phaser just once. That was to print out the config page because Xerox would not give us our rebate (that's how they do a "free" printer) without one. We had to unpack it, put the whole thing together, print out the page, tear it back down and pack it back up...

Konica Minolta magicolor 3100 Color Laser Printer

Bargain Konica Minolta magicolor 3100 Color Laser Printer

  • Up to 1,200 x 1,200 dpi resolution
  • Up to 16 ppm in color and black, first page out in 17 seconds
  • 256 MB RAM, upgradeable to 512 MB
  • USB and CrownNet for Ethernet 10BaseT/100BaseTX interfaces
  • Automatic 2-sided printing; 1-year onsite warranty

This Laser Printers give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Does the job
I can't say what occurred with the previous reviewer. My guess
is he was referring to the 2200 (a much slower color printer)
or was driving the 3100 via a parallel cable.

I got the printer today and have printed just about everything
in sight, including 8.5x11 inch pictures (1536x2048x16 million
color digital camera images) in regular and fine quality mode.
Certainly it takes the printer longer to print these images,
but thats 15 seconds verses instantaineous. Note that I use
a 100bps ethernet to drive it.

The image quality looks great to me. I picked this printer
because if you add duplexing and a 500 sheet tray to their
lower end printer(the 2200), both options I need, you get
approximately the same total price as well as a printer that
is MUCH slower in color, has a fraction of the CPU speed and
does not do Postscript 3.

The 3100 DN is a win, and gives both a better price and smaller
size than the equivalent HP...

2. All the features at a low price
I bought this for home office use, and am more than impressed with the output quality. Photographs look as good as the originals, and the autmatic duplexing is terrific.

so slow as to be unusable
After 3 weeks with helpful Minolta tech support staff I have discovered that it is normal and OK for this printer to take 12 minutes to print one 8' x 8' regular photograph at 300 dpi at the printer's lowest resolution. That is way too long to be practical in a business environment. I regret the purchase.

MC4750EN Color Laser

Deals for MC4750EN Color Laser

The next big thing in color printing? It's right here. The magicolor 4750EN is a small wonder, measuring in at just 16.5" x 13" (W x H). But don't let the small size fool you, this color printer is positively packed with advanced features. Driven by the Emperon Print System with an 800 MHz processor and 256 MB RAM, it prints at 31 ppm in color and B&W and can deliver a first page in 12.9 seconds. Also uses Simitri & HD toner with Biomass, a renewable organic resource that has less environmental ...
  • Prints 31 ppm color and B&W delivering the first page in just 12.9 seconds
  • Equipped with the powerful Emperon Print System with 800 MHz CPU and 256 MB DDR2 RAM
  • Konica Minolta magicolor printers print in brilliant high-definition color with 4800 dpi-class x 600 DPI resolution

This Laser Printers give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Meh...
I LOVED my Magicolor 2300DL and this just doesn't live up to what I had before. I've had to call customer service multiple times (it wouldn't print a 1/4" strip right out of the box and then broke again later). You'll sit on hold forever but they're nice when they answer -- still I wouldn't recommend it.

2. Good value for the price, but ink will get you...
This printer is a great addition to our office. It prints fast, works off our server no problems. Make note however that only the DN model comes with a duplexer-- EN cannot duplex print jobs. I wish it could take more paper as it only holds about 250 sheets at a time, but it prints quickly and reliably. Few jams, even when set to default duplex. The ink is costly though. To replace all four cartridges costs the same as the price I bought it for--$350.00. It also is not the easiest to troubleshoot for the average person-- tricky paper set up makes even replacing the paper a little different than normal. Overall though, awesome product for the features (color printing, laser/duplexing)/price.

This Laser Printers give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Printer great, extra tray not
I purchased the upscale model of the Color Laserjet 2605, the 2605 dtn. The printer is listed as somewhat slow on review sites, but it's just fine for my needs. However, the add-on bottom tray that came with the printer was defective, and never worked (couldn't open the drawer). HP was very responsive with over the phone support, and sent another. That one was defective, too. After a couple hours on the phone, I finally got a third tray that worked. Hmm.

  • 68.00 Lbs (WxLxH) 16.90" x 20.10" x 16.30"

This Laser Printers give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Great printer!
I got this printer a few months ago for my office and so far I really like it. The duplex option is terrific. Double-sided printing not only is greener, it helps to keep the files from getting too fat.

The print quality is great, though the colors do print a bit darker than I'd expect based on their appearance on screen. I haven't had any paper jams or other problems with it.

Getting the full size printer cartridges with it is a good deal. So far, I've only had to change the black one so it does monitor them separately (I've heard of other HP color printers that force you to change the color printer cartridges when the black runs out).

BTW, I don't know what the guy with the envelope problems is talking about. I print envelopes frequently and it has never sealed one. Based on my experience, I would guess his problems have more to do with the humidity around his store of envelopes than with the printer.

2. Works Well
It is great having a color LaserJet printer. I am using it on my Mac. The only thing I wish this printer had was a built in wireless capability. I have it plugged into my Time Capsule and not into my computer but it would be better if it were wireless like my Photosmart printers by HP. Installation went without a hitch and I am very happy with my new color printer.

hp 3505 dn color laser printer
HP CP3505DN Color Laserjet PrinterI purchased the hp 3505 dn primarily for its color duplex capabilities and it does a superb job. The printer arrived with all toner cartridges installed and all I had to do was remove the packing materials, load rhe software, connect it to my network and print. I have never had a paper jam have used regular copy paper as well as card stock. I don't do double sided with card stock though. I rate hp printers as one of the best brands and currently have 2 hp color lasers and 2 black and white laser printers and have had no problems with any of them. I can reccommend the hp 3505 dn printer to anyone.

  • Fax Color: Color
  • Transmission Speed: 3 sec/page
  • Weight (Approximate): 62.80 lb
  • Display Screen Type: LCD

This Laser Printers give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Excellent. By far the best all-in-one that we've used.
We go through printers pretty frequently, because we move them a lot, which doesn't seem to improve their durability. We have had color laser all-in-ones from HP and Brother before this, and an inkjet all-in-one from Canon before those.

This is by far the best out of any of the all-in-ones that I've tried or owned. I highly recommend it. The output is great and it is simple to use and maintain. I even find that the cartridges last longer on this one than the previous Brother machine that I've had, when comparing actual life to advertized life.

The only features that the 9970 have that isn't common among the field of color laser all-in-ones, is the duplex printing, and the color touch screen. Both work great, and surprised me. I was worried that the duplex feature would cause jams and other problems, but it never has. I thought that the touch screen was a useless gimmick that added cost with no real benefit. That too proved to be inaccurate. It is...

Remanufactured Konica Minolta Magiccolor 2430DL

Cheapest Remanufactured Konica Minolta Magiccolor 2430DL

There are no USB or Network cables included. The toner and printer drum comes installed from the factory.
  • 10/100BaseTX Ethernet & USB 2.0 interfaces
  • Up to 20 ppm b&w, 5 ppm color
  • 2400 x 600 dpi resolution; 32 MB RAM std. / 544 MB RAM max.
  • 200-sheets input std. / 700-sheets input max.; Camera-direct photo printing using PictBridge
  • Factory Reconditioned - 1 year warranty

This Laser Printers give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Great color, bargain price
I have been using this printer for a few weeks and so far I'm thrilled. It's compatible with Mac OS X, Windows (from 95 to XP) and Linux, has built-in network support and a PictBridge connector in front.

The best part is how lightweight it is for a color laser printer. It also has a very small footprint. Inkjets are often deceptive in that respect, because they require a lot of space in front and back for the paper holders; the 2430DL does not need any of that.

Its energy saver mode is extremely economical (1W) and the printer wakes up immediately and can print with almost no warm-up time.

On the negative side, the paper drawer is very shoddy, and the printer is fairly loud when operating (that includes regular clacks and whirrs while in energy saver mode, don't set it up in your bedroom!)

To the reviewer complaining about the toner not fixating on the page: your printer is set to envelope mode. Check the manual (you can download it from...

2. Consider this color laser printer rather than ink jets
This is my second Konica Minolta color laser printer. I bought my first, a 2210 when prices for color laser printers dipped below $1000. It was very easy to set up and use and worked perfectly for many years. This week I replaced it with a new 2430 because the cost of replacing the consuumables which were all running low was more than buying a new printer. The new 2430 is smaller, lighter, quieter, easier to use, feature packed and has twice the resolution of my old printer. I'm using it in a mixed Mac/PC network environment. The included CD contained all the manuals, drivers and software needed for both platforms as well as for Linux. Set up couldn't have been easier. I unboxed it, plugged in the power and network cable, installed the drivers on my computers and began printing. The whole process took about 10 minutes. The images look great and it can handle a wide range of media. A web browser based interface makes administrating the printer a snap. In a home environment...

Works Great--Until It Doesn't
This printer was impressive once I got it up and running (took some time and head-scratching) with my Windows XP operating system. I purchased the printer around June of 2005 and have worked it hard for my business, printing everything from daily invoices and shipping labels to thick card stock and transparencies. Card stock is only reliable about 70% of the time, and you have to hand-feed it to avoid jamming.

This seemed like a great bargain for the $300 price, but the consumables are very expensive (as you'll find with nearly any printer now, inkjet or laser). I've used about 5-6 cartridges of each of the four colors (black, cyan, yellow, magenta) and gone through one drum replacement. The problems I have had have been mainly fussy software issues--sometimes after working for several print jobs, the printer suddenly stops transferring toner to the media for some inexplicable reason and without any errors or definable cause. We've gotten used to just turning the...
